Tristan studied the sculptures intently, trying to find any clues that might reveal their meaning. He walked around them, looking at each from different angles, and finally, he noticed something peculiar about the base of each statue. "The bases are different," he exclaimed.
The twins looked at each other, impressed by Tristan's observation skills. "Yes," Lily replied, "the bases represent two elements. The statue with the calm expression stands on a base of water, while the one with the mischievous expression stands on a base of fire."
Tristan nodded as he recognized the symbolism. "Lily, the poised twin, is said to symbolize stability, and Lyla, the mischievous twin, is said to symbolize passion?"
"Exactly," Lyla said with a smile. "You're quite perceptive."
Tristan reciprocated the smile, his sense of accomplishment at having figured out the puzzle. "Then what? Did I win?"
"Not quite yet!" The twins giggled as they approached him with outstretched hands. They gently grabbed his arms before bringing them behind his head, forcing him to lean forward into them for support. Through their thin gowns, their soft breasts brushed up against his chest, their warm breath tickling his neck. He could feel their fingers gradually loosening the buttons on his shirt until it was totally exposed.
Lyla whispered in his ear seductively, "I think you should take off your pants first... then we'll see how far we can go."
'There must be a problem here,' Tristan reasoned to himself. They appeared overly eager and did not ensure that he had received the correct response.
He released their hold and stepped back a little to get a closer look at their faces. While her eyes were firmly locked upon his crotch, Lily appeared to be smiling sweetly at him. Lyla had a similar expression, but her eyes traveled upward to Tristan, and when she saw that he was torn between accepting their advances or rebuffing them politely, a malicious grin broke out across her face.
Tristan stood there transfixed, unsure of what to do next, which only served to excite the twins, who stared hungrily at his physique, waiting for an opportunity to pounce on him like ravenous tigers on fresh meat.
'The bug, I still don't know what the bug is!' His mind raced as he anxiously tried to find out how to get out of this position without wasting any more time than necessary. The longer they waited to tease him into giving them a chance to toy with him, the less likely it was that they would be able to stop themselves from taking advantage of him once they got their hands dirty.
"You made me realize I had not gotten the answer correct," he said with a nervous chuckle. "I need to know what exactly you need before continuing."
Lily and Lyla shared knowing glances before Lily said, "We will give you one last chance. If you fail to be specific, we will make you pay dearly." She paused before adding ominously, "you don't want us to make you suffer, now, do you?"
Tristan swallowed hard, his heart thumping in his chest, trying to figure out the bug before respawning and losing all progress in the level! He took a big breath to calm himself down enough to think straight again. Then it hit him: 'It's a trap.'
He looked at each twin suspiciously and asked, "What happens after my time runs out? What's your endgame here?"
The twins shared another look. They appeared astonished by Tristan's sudden change of attitude but immediately recovered their composure once they saw how much of a struggle Tristan was in. As they returned Tristan's smile, their eyes narrowed slightly.
"Our goal is straightforward," Lyla responds, "we want our ruler to dominate the world!"
'This virtual world or mine?' Tristan thought. He felt sick inside, realizing what the two ladies might be implying, yet unable to deny the truth behind their words.
Agent Smith had already stated how unpredictable and dangerous the eroge might be, and hearing those words from them just proved how accurate his statement had been. It didn't matter if he wanted to believe them or not; he knew the repercussions of failing this evaluation would be dire.
He laughed and continued, "so... you're saying you'll murder me if I can't get this right."
"We are going to make sure you never leave us alive if you fail to give the right answer," Lyla said with a smile as her sister nodded in agreement.
"That's a lot to say, coming from you two to someone like me who lives and breathes it," Tristan sighed and said as he gently shook his head.
"You look like an intriguing individual with some potential," Lily said in response. "And we also thought we'd try something new today," she continued seductively, pausing just before she finished.
To buy some time to figure out how to get out of this situation, he says, "all I need is a clue on what you need to execute the task."
"It's what perfectly describes us both in one single word!" Lily exclaimed excitedly.
"Anything that could describe either of your personalities in only one word... that will have to be duality then," Tristan said after taking another big breath.
"That's the word," Lily replied as the twins exchanged glances.
Tristan warily regarded each twin before enquiring, "so what now?"
Lyla stated, "now you have control over us to fulfill your deepest desires! We're not going to give up until we get your heart."
The twins approached Tristan and he stepped back. There was something peculiar about the way Lyla had phrased it. Tristan was able to tell they were dead serious because they had made no effort to conceal their motives.
The instant he noticed their pupils turning from blue to crimson, he felt his body tense up in anticipation of conflict.
He glances up as the words 'BUG IDENTIFIED' are written in large letters and many additional phrases, 'Yanderes identified... Warning... Yanderes detected... Warning,' flash across his vision.
Before gazing down at the ladies, Tristan rapidly scanned all of these messages. He could make out the unsettling glimmer in their eyes and understood there was a strange resemblance between them and a particular victim who harbored such a sinister vendetta towards him.
"You fuckers! You were all acting with knowledge of what the first few levels could be about!" He glared back at the ladies in anticipation while laughing out in a psychotic manner, cursing under his breath at the game's programmers.

¶ Any idea on what he had picked up on the twins, and why he had thinks they have some resemblance to a victim?
