MB left Kiara's house as soon as he was told his girlfriend had slept. He thank Erica and left her in the living room while heading towards his car that awaits him outside.
He drove quietly out of the area and head towards the bar to have some drink before returning home. He went back home and found his little sister still awake. He wondered why she was still awake as at that time since his parents might already be asleep.
He walked pass her and pretended not to see her but jasmine as already seen him when he drove inside the house. "Bro" she call out and MB turned and face her then creased his brows.
"Come on, why that face?" She asked him as soon as she got to him. She took a careful look on him then noticed a lipstick on his cheeks. Jasmine giggled and MB creased his brows more wondering what was amusing his sister.
"Do I look funny" He asked and jasmine nodded. She points towards his left cheek then he hurriedly entered his room and went straight to the mirror. He found the lipstick and smiled. His sister entered from behind, stood by the door and folded her arms.
He wiped it and watch his sister through the mirror and gave a frown. He later straightened his face "won't you sleep?" He asked "I will" she answered.
She sat on his bed still looking at him. She noticed her brother doesn't look okay to her that evening then she asked him "Have you been drinking?". MB pressed his lips before answering "Not really... It's just a bottle I took". "Are you going through something?" She asked again and MB nodded.
Jasmine tap on the bed signalling him to sit by her so he could share what he was going through. He sat down but had his attention on his phone. He was expecting a message from Kiara but no message came. He placed the phone down and paid attention to his sister who was also starring at her.
He took in a deep breathe before starting to talk to his sister who had given him a listening ear "I'm worried about my relationship with Kiara,Jas". Jasmine kept quiet for sometime before asking "And why do you say so?" "Hmm... You won't understand. Do you remember when dad favorite company was shut down sometime ago?" He asked her getting jasmine thinking trying to recollect that issue.
"Yeah I do remember... Why do you ask?" She asked also. She knew something was going to come out of it and she didn't like the feeling she was having about. "Kiara's parents were responsible for it" He revealed and jasmine gasped. "Oh no!" She said "And I made a promise to dad, I'm gonna punished anyone who was involved in it....and..." He stopped talking taking a breathe.
How was he going to handle everything now. He's inlove with the daughter of the man who ruined his father's business. How is he going to handle the situation at hand because he made a promise to his dad and he needs to fulfill it.
And now, Kiara has come into the picture. He knew she was the daughter of Mr Nicholson from the very day he had that encounter with her but he couldn't help but fall in love with her from that day.
Was he going to break Kiara's heart by ruining her life and family. So many questions kept running through his mind and he didn't know which one to pick . His sister watched him silently. She tapped him and nodded "it okay... You can just let go off the issue besides, you love Kiara and I'm sure you wouldn't like to hurt her" she said.
He sat there quietly still processing what his sister just said. Should he let go off it and keep the relationship with Kiara, the woman that has stolen his heart again. "And what about the promise I made to dad?" He asked her which got her thinking "just tell him you didn't find who did it bro then rather tell him he should let go since the harm and damage has already been caused" .
She reasoned with him. MB thought of what she just said and found sense in it. After all, he doesn't want to hurt Kiara since he knows she do love him so much. He's not even sure if Kiara was aware that her parents did something of that sort.
So why punish an innocent girl by ruining her life. He pressed his lips and placed his sister's hand into his. He smiled at her "thank you. I will see what I can do about it." He informed her and jasmine nodded and gave him a smile as well.
"So tell me, how did that lipstick ended up there?" She asked trying to change the topic. He smiled uncontrollably. Jasmine could see how her brother blushed just because of a question she asked him.
His mood brightened up then shook his head "you are such a bad kid... what do you want to know?" He asked raising an eyebrow. "Ooo.... I see... Just wait, the day I will finally get to see Kiara will be the worst day of your life" she said jokingly getting her brother amused.
He smiled widely because he knew what his sister was capable of. If she says she would do something, she will surely do so. "And who said am allowing you to meet her?!" He asked her but jasmine didn't take him serious since she knew she will surely get to see her one-day.
They started arguing about it until they got tired and jasmine said a good night to him and left for her room. MB laid on the bed staring at the ceiling thinking about Kiara. He smiled to himself anytime her face flashed through his mind.
He had never loved anyone like how he had for Kiara before and that was surprising him alot. He was used and dumped before and he promised to same to any girl that comes his way but falling inlove with Kiara has stopped him from doing all those stuffs.
He has changed from his bad ways since he didn't want to hurt Kiara in anyway. He loves her so much and hurting her would be the last thing he wants to do to her.
He promised himself he was going to be a better person just to keep her happy always and he would do anything he can to do so. He can't afford to loose Kiara to anyone else.
He sprang up to his feet after having a moment with his thoughts and went for his shower and climbed on his bed. After sometime, he drifted to sleep.
