MB arrived at Kiara's mansion within no time because of the rate at which he was driving. He needed to see her and explain things to her before things get out of hand.
He parked his car outside the mansion and walked inside. Erica was already downstairs waiting for his arrival. Erica walk past him without uttering a word to him since she didn't know what to tell him at the moment.
she slowly opened Kiara's room for him to enter while she stood behind the door. MB walked in and stare at Kiara who was fast asleep. He felt like going close to her so he could touch her but he didn't want to disturb her from her sleep either.
His heart felt heavy and aches at the same time. He never planned of hurting her but he had already hurt her indirectly. if there's anything he could do to make her happy at once again, he would do it.
Erica watched him silently. she shook her head silently and kept watching him. MB turn to her direction and realized she was also staring at him. He flush a smile at her but Erica knew the smile was a force one.
"it's time to leave." Erica said. MB nodded and step out of the room without questioning. he went downstairs and Erica followed him, expecting him to head out but he didn't.
He stopped walking suddenly and said "I want to spend the night here". Erica's eyes widened the moment she head what he said. What? he wants to spend the night here?. She can't allow that since Kiara would see him when she wakes up.
"No I can't let you stay here" Erica retorted "Please.... I want to see how she doing when she wakes up. please don't say no please " MB pleaded. Erica bite down her lips since she was in a complicated situation.
How would she convince him so he could leave and come around another time. She doesn't want Kiara to wake up the following morning and start fuming the moment she sees him. "Please, just for tonight " he pleaded, holding Erica two hands.
Erica shrugged and nodded eventually. She directed him to one of the guest room but he refuses to sleep there. He rather choose to sleep in the sofa and Erica had no choice than to accept.
"please call me when you need assistance " he said. Erica smile at him and went upstairs. she needed some rest herself since she haven't gotten any sleep since the incidence happened.
Late at midnights, Kiara woke up, experiencing severe headache. the pains were becoming too much and she needed to get some water water. she rose from the bed and walk towards the door and saw Erica sleeping in the sofa.
Her eyes widened the moment she saw her lying in the sofa. why wasn't she sleeping on the bed as she normally does. She went close to her and tapped her gently.
Erica woke up and saw Kiara staring at her in the face. she blinked her eyes severally. "Are you okay?" she asked as soon as she found her voice to speak. "Yes. just some headache." Kiara answered.
"Do you want me to get you something?" Erica inquired "Don't worry yourself. I will go downstairs and grab some water" she replied, turning her back towards her.
As she stepped out, Erica quickly remembered MB was still in the living room and if Kiara gets there, she would see him. She quickly sprang to her feet and rushed out but Kiara was already downstairs heading to the kitchen.
Erica rushed downstairs and quickly, she followed her to the kitchen. Kiara saw her and wondered what she came downstairs for. "Do you need some water also?" She asked her while gulping down hers.
Erica stood there quietly thinking of what to say to her. "You acting weird, is everything okay?" Kiara inquired after seeing her bitting down her nails. Erica always does that anytime she felt nervous.
And Looking at her at the moment, she really nervous about someone. "How is the headache now?" Erica quickly asked when she saw her staring at her keenly.
"You look uneasy Erica" she said again. "I'm okay,see?" Erica said. "I will take that as an excuse" Kiara said, heading out of the kitchen still holding the glass of water. Soon as Kiara came out of the kitchen, she saw someone lying in her sofa.
Who was that? she wondered and started walking towards the living room. Erica realized it was too late there's nothing she could do to stop her since she's already at the living room.
She stayed behind, ready to see how her reaction would be after seeing who it was. Kiara step closer little by little since she needed to be careful of herself. She looked behind her and saw Erica also standing behind, staring at her.
She knew there was something wrong with her sudden action she was showing up in the kitchen. She returned her attention back to the person lying in the sofa. She got closer finally and to her surprised, that was MB lying in her sofa.
"What!?" she blurted out after seeing him. How dare him sleep in her house? Her hand shook and also felt like pouring the glass of water on him but she restrained herself.
she hits him in the stomach, waking him up from the sleep.
