**Chapter Five***
After breakfast Isabella went to see Miguel. She called earlier and he claimed that he was very busy today. There was no time to spare for her because he had more important matters to attend to.
She knew that he was being a jerk. He would have come to her but Miguel was full of pride. He always wanted people at his mercy instead.
Walking through the empty streets, that led to the one of the famous casino in town, Isabella prayed to God to protect her. She even went ahead to pray that the Miguel's heart be softened today.
He should changed his mind and tell her not to work for them again. But was this possible? She stopped and wondered.
No, it was not. He won't forget their debts nor any of his intentions. It has been his dreams for years to watch her come to him.
The casino was her least favorite place. Nothing had ever draw her to this place. Over the years, she tried her best to protect herself and siblings from it.
Isabella thought that the casino was beginning of her parents' problem. Maybe, they met one of the Mafioso here and their friendship blossomed. Things got out of hand and they began to run out of money… no.
She was not sure of the story but her parents were never out of money. This was one of the reasons why she could not blame them for any situation.
"Watch where you go, bitch" a woman yelled at her when she got closed to the casino. It was obvious that she lost so much today.
Isabella ignored her yells.. However, she took the woman's advice to watch where she was going.
The casino building was next to a five-star hotel. There was no need to look or worry about the owners because she knew they belonged to Miguel's boss.
He was a stingy and selfish man, Isabella told herself. He had so much wealth yet would not relief her of the debt owed by her late parents.
Yet, Miguel opens his mouth to tell her that the boss was merciful. What mercy was he showing? Did he wanted their blood as well?
The security at the door was tighter than she had thought. They made sure she was well checked by the human and computer security.
She understood them but only a foolish person will mess up with the casino security.
When they were done with the search, she was free to go into the building. It has the old setting of casinos. No clocks but different game circles.
There was something so luxuriating about walking into a casino. Being greeted by the sweet aroma of excitement and the bright, glittering lights promising one a slice of heaven if one play his cards right.
And guess what? None of that's accidental.
Isabella knew that casinos have been cleverly designed in a way that plays on the weaknesses of human psychology to make sure the player spend as much time here as possible.
Sure, anyone would love the free drinks and the awesome comps they offer but there was so much more to it than that. These methods that they use to keep people in the building – and playing all night long – run way deeper.
Money was spent every second here. The players wanted to win and recover what they lost by all means.
The glittering lights made her pale skin to shine. When she noticed all eyes on her, Isabella walked with grace and pride. Her walking steps changed so quickly that she caught the eyes of Miguel from afar.
"Can I get a drink?" she asked Waiter. He nodded and she smiled. "Thank you."
Not that she liked taking alcohol. Isabella was wanted to feel among so that no one suspect that she came to Miguel.
"Hello, ma" A group players invited her to their side.
She walked to where they were and watched. It was an interesting show for them but not for her. When they invited her to join the game, she shook her head and told them that she preferred watching for now.
Only fool with a huge debt would try to gamble. By the way, she had no penny on her. After the meeting with Miguel, she will trek home.
"I see you made new friends already," A familiar hand held her arm tightly.
Isabella knew it was Miguel. She took a step back and matched his toe. When he let out a moan, she froze.
"If this is your way to irritate me then you are wrong, sweetheart" He whispered into her ears, softly. "You are turning me on, instead."
She closed her eyes and calmed down. The only thought that ran through her mind was that Miguel was an asshole. He was trying to provoke her to make a mistake. The boss will give orders for her to be executed.
"Come on, follow me with a smile," He continued letting go of her arms.
Isabella followed the Capone to an inner room upstairs. She never thought in her wildest imagination that she would come to this place someday.
Here she was, at the top watching everyone's movements.
There were a lot of electric device in the room. She was expecting to see the boss today but he was not there. Maybe it's was not his office because Miguel's photo was on the table.
She sat down on one of the expensive sofa and watched him give orders to the people in the room. He sent most of them out.
Isabella was not surprised. It was a typical Miguel. If he would have not done these, she would understand that he lost his senses.
"Welcome, Miss Isabella de la Cosa," he sat down in his executive chair and looked at her. "I prefer to call you… De la Cosa's witch."
She rolled her eyes and asked "I think you should drop all these and face business. I came to work for you. What is the task?"
