It is nighttime.
As Synthia entered the room, she noticed that Ryota was still awake and working on something at the desk. She could see the glow of a lamp casting shadows on the walls, and the only sound in the room was the scratch of Ryota's pen on the paper.
"Ryota-sama, are you not going to sleep yet?" she asked, trying not to startle him.
Ryota looked up from his work and looks at Synthia.
"Good evening, Synthia," Ryota greeted her, looking up from his desk. "No, I'm not quite ready for bed yet. I'm just finishing up a manga panel."
"Hm? But don't we have a special exam tomorrow? It's better to rest, you know," Synthia replied, concerned.
"Ahh, don't worry," Ryota reassured her. "I have a plan for tomorrow."
"A plan?" Synthia looked at him, intrigued
Ryota grinned mischievously. "Since I can make a living out of drawing, maybe I should draw Son Goku from Dragon Ball Z? Or perhaps Naruto?"
Synthia looked at him with a blank expression, not quite sure what to make of his suggestion.
"But what if it doesn't work?" Synthia asked, concerned.
Ryota's smile faltered slightly. "I hadn't really thought about that," he admitted. "But I'm confident it will work.
"That's great, Ryota-sama," Synthia said, trying to be supportive.
"But there's one thing you should know. The author is planning to nerf your character soon."
"Nerf my character?" Ryota looked surprised."Why?"
"Remember, the goblin incident? Your stats were already maxed except for the other skills."
"Mhm.."
"Then remember when you used that classic sword style and immediately cut the goblins into pieces?" Synthia continued.
Ryota's face darkened as he realized where this was going. "Oh... I see," he said, realizing the implications of his overpowered skills.
"But why would the author want to nerf me?" Ryota asked, still trying to wrap his head around the situation.
"Well, you've become too powerful for the story," Synthia explained. "It's hard to create tension and suspense when you can defeat any enemy with ease. So, the author needs to find a way to level the playing field and make things more challenging for you."
Ryota sighed, understanding the logic behind the decision but still feeling frustrated. "I see... well, I guess I'll just have to work harder to improve my skills," he said with determination.
Synthia smiled at his resilience. "That's the spirit, Ryota-sama. I know you can overcome any obstacle that comes your way."
