"Ryota-sama, Wake up.."
Ryota slowly opens his eyes and sees a flying Ipad (System). He looks at the unfamiliar ceiling and slowly sits up.
"System, How many days did lose consciousness?"
"Approximately three days, Ryota-sama. Can you remember anything from that time?"
"Yeah, I draw a Muramasa sword from a piece of paper and use it to wipe out the horde of goblins with a sword skill. What was the name of the skill again?"
"Sword Skill: Blade Tempest" System answered. "Ryota-sama, I will tell you what happened before you got here. System then starts recapping what happened three days ago.
"After you collapsed on the ground, A group of adventurers notice you laying on the ground then they managed to carry you to the city. This city is called Elvander City. From now on you will be asked by a person. But please do be careful and try not to expose yourself."
Knock knock knock. A sound of a knock on the door. System then gets inside Ryota's jacket to hide.
A young-looking girl walks into the room. Ryota looks at the girl's ear. She has pointed ears, a slender and graceful physique, and a youthful appearance. Ryota's eyes widen as he sees an elf for the first time then immediately stood up from the bed as he approaches the elf.
"Y-Yes, I am an elf. My name is Lirien." She says it with a shy expression as she slowly backs away from Ryota.
"Y-You're cute! I can't believe it! This is my first time meeting an elf!
Lirien blushes as she covers her face with her hands. "I-I'm not cute..." Ryota then holds her hands, and Lirien gets even redder. "D-Do you mind if I draw you!?" He asks Lirien's permission.
"Draw me?" Lirien asked a bit confused.
"That's right! How about this, You sit right here on the stool while I draw your face!" Ryota then stops for a moment as he thinks that exposing himself for making an item appear in the air would be weird. Ryota clears his throat.
"D-Do you mind if I borrow a piece of paper?" He asked Lirien to get him a piece of paper. "Sure! There should be one right here!"
Lirien gets up from the stool and opens the drawer that contains papers, and textbooks. After that, she hands Ryota the papers. "I only asked one but.. Thank you Lirien!" Lirien smiles and nods and sits back on the stool.
"Please smile for me, Ms.Lirien!" She nods and gives Ryota a sweet smile. As she smiles Ryota starts drawing her face as he carefully looks at her face
"By the way, I didn't catch your name. What's your name?"
"Ryota, Ryota Kaneko." He is still focused on drawing Lirien's face as he answered her question. "That's a very unusual name... But it's nice."
"Thank you."
"By the way, Kaneko Ryota."
"Ryota is fine."
"T-Then.. Ryota, Were you the one responsible for killing the goblin king and queen in the north?
Ryota stops drawing as he looks at Lirien. "No, I don't remember anything. All I remember is a horde of goblins in the woods."
Lirien then stares at Ryota's eyes. Her eyes turn green as Ryota slowly backs off hitting the wall behind him.
"L-Lirien?"
"Veritascopic" Lirien says, She uses magic on her eyes. A magic that can detect lies and deceit. A magical spell or ability that allows the user to detect lies by simply looking into someone's eyes. When activated, the Veritascopic enhances the user's vision, allowing them to see beyond the surface of a person's eyes and into their soul. The spell works by detecting subtle changes in the eyes that indicate deception or falsehoods, such as pupil dilation or micro-expressions. Once activated, the Veritascopic creates a distinctive glowing green around the user's eyes, which intensifies as the user focuses on a person they suspect of lying. But for some reason, Lirien cannot detect whether Ryota is lying or not. Thanks to Ryota's maxed magic stats. He became resistant to these types of magic.
"Lirien?" Ryota says her name once more. Lirien shakes her head her eyes returned to normal. "Oh, S-Sorry." Ryota then slowly gets his composure back.
"Ryota-sama." System speaks through Ryota's mind using telepathy. "That woman just used a magic spell to herself called "Veritascopic" It is an ability to detect lies and deceit."
"I see, Thank you for telling me System."
"No problem, Ryota-sama."
Ryota finally finishes drawing Lirien's face and shows it to her. "Wow! Ryota, Is this me?!" She says it in disbelief. She doesn't have many words for the drawing since this is her first time seeing, good art. "Are you perhaps an artist?!" There is a hint of excitement and admiration in her voice as she compliments Ryota's art.
"Not really, When I was a kid I would always draw on my dad's paper. That's why my dad bought me some papers." That's not a lie. Ever since Ryota loves drawing he would use his father's notebook to draw in it and got scolded thus his father decided to give Ryota a sketchbook.
"I see, Thank you again Ryota. I would love to keep this in my house!" Lirien then walks out of the room as she is happy. Ryota then slowly closes the door to his room and locks it.
"Phew, That was close wasn't it System."
"It is indeed a very close one, Ryota-sama"
"Hm? Now that I think about it... Calling you System sounds like I'm playing a game, even though you act like a human as well as insulting me with your harsh reality words." Ryota thinks as he looks at the iPad. "Do you want a name? If you want, I can give you one right now."
"A name?" System then gets onto the bed and lies down flat. "Then I want you to touch this screen with your pointer finger and say my new name, and I also want you to pour your mana into the screen as well."
"Hm? Like this?" As he places his pointing finger on the screen. He says her new name. "Your new name will be Synthia from now on." After that a bright light shines in the room, blinding Ryota. After a while, a girl wearing a maid outfit appears sitting down on the bed.
"Eh?" Ryota stares at the girl who sits down on the bed.
"Greetings, Ryota-sama" She smiles and giggles at him.
