Chapter 25 - Chapter 24- Decision and Expectancy?

Woo Jinchul, the person responsible for the department of surveillance belonging to the government authorized Hunter Association settled in the Asian country of Korea. Naturally, he had his sources and a way to discern the past and present of those people whom the saffron-haired young man considers worth notable.

Recently, when his assistant, Mi-Soo dragged the Inspector in-chief to a battle sight near the headquarters, Jinchul came to know about an existence who was a residence of the same nation and held tremendous strength to one hit kill an A-rank monster boss. But that was not what made Jinchul utterly shocked and interested in the young man, rather it was the main job which Mii-Soo told about this anomaly.

And that was healing.

A healer who holds the weakest physical might generally be in a group and the member whom the whole team keeps safe since a healer could provide for everyone's recovery and boost, and lead the raid team to their victory. And now, someone who despite being a healer was able to pull off such a feat and more so a teenager?

Jinchul had more than one reason to search for this boy so even after assigning his secretary to scout the boy, he himself made some effort to search for this mysterious appearance who came up to light(?) at the right time.

While researching he found out most of the things about the boy named Haruka Nanase and the fact that he was the adopted son of an influential figure and also one of the S-rank hunters of another Asian country.

Japan was not only the possessor of top leading hunters but coincidentally also the country which recently proposed a joint raid with Korea to bring an end to the infamous gate on Jeju Island. It could all be a coincidence that somehow a person with a seemingly high-ranking attribute belonging to Japan pops out just some days after the official proposal was sent.

Or maybe not...

"I apologize if it has been a little too sudden for you to come here."

"Not at all, Chief since I also wanted to meet someone from the Association as well."

Jinchul was amazed to see how relaxed and comfortable the boy seemed even though he was in a foreign place. Or maybe he was playing it cool? Regardless, Jinchul was fortunate that he was not dealing with some brat which would make the conversation go rather smoothly.

"Interested as I am in, what student Nanase has to say, I would like to first ask something, if you don't mind."

"Sure go ahead."

Jinchul straightened his back, with his eyes locked on the blindfolded boy in front before the older one brought up the major point of concern which could decide whether further negotiation would be worthy to mention or not.

"As a resident of another country and having the potential to become an exceptional hunter, I would like to ask, whether student Nanase returns to his homeland for evaluation or you have no plan diving into dungeons at all?"

Jinchul threw the cue which would get him the response that would carry the major part of his concern. Haruka Nanase is a temporary immigrant and by obtaining a hunter's license here he would become a permanent citizen.

It was highly unlikely that someone of high-ranking attributes would leave their homeland where his own stepfather administers such a renowned guild, The Draw Sword guild.

Jinchul was still not entirely sure what prowess the young man possesses but to obtain Haruka to their side, it was required for him to get licensed as a Korean Hunter. And even if he does return to Japan it would be best if he gets evaluated soon so maybe he could provide some assistance in the Jeju Island raid.

"You presented two options but you forgot the third one, chief." Jinchul raised his brows with slight expectation rising inside of him before he heard the boy continuing.

"I now belong to Korea, Chief which concludes where I would be getting evaluated very soon. I indeed was a resident of Japan and still hold sentiment to that place since my family lives there and I have varieties of memories attached to my birthland, but now I have a strong reason to not go back."

Jinchul was not sure what the reason was but he inwardly thanked them who gained Korea a strong hunter. If by chance, the boy ranks above B then he would be a great addition to the coastline during the Jeju-do operation and if by the stroke of lady luck, Nanase Haruka awakens the highest tier...then Mi-Soo would definitely be getting an instant promotion.

Another S-rank would be a great advantage for Korea not only for this raid but for the long run as well.

This time with a more relaxed demeanor, the orange-haired guy spoke up without hinting at the urgency he held behind his words, "So when should we expect you for rank evaluation? Nowadays many get their evaluation scheduled at least a week ago, but since we bothered you without any prior notice, I personally would get you an appointment a day before you choose to visit."

As Jinchul said he slid his card across the table which Haru picked as he read through the content before pocketing the card.

"I will contact you soon, chief."

Jinchul was satisfied with this much development for now since any further negotiations required the boy to get assessed first. Jinchul has enough working experience to tell that the boy in front was no regular awakened but someone who would notably rise in the future.

He didn't want to make any rational judgment but he indeed had a high expectancy from Haruka.

'Let's see how big of a fish you have scouted Mi-Soo... '

After walking out of the meeting room, Haruka primarily thought to retire back and call it a day. He had enough things on his plate to think about and also the moments he have spent with Jinah was keeping him distracted every once in a while. But soon he discarded the thought of wasting the remaining time and flew away toward the coastal region.

He indeed was happy to finally have some development with Jinah but ignoring the motive for which he was provided this second life was also not a good idea.

"Evaluation...huh..."

Haru was sure that once he gets evaluated and his name publishes across the nations and worldwide, days would become hectic for some time.

"With this much mana...what rank would I be placed in..."

Despite he was absentmindedly asking himself that question Haru knew that he was strong enough to not get placed anything below S. Apart from all the skills and training he has been provided with, the fact that his mana amplifies each second when he is not utilizing it was itself a strong factor which would ensure Korea with their new high ranker.

Haru considered himself strong but not to the point to get blinded and considering what kind of entities he has to face shortly, he knew remaining at this stage would be hazardous.

'I guess... obtaining those skills should be my priority for now... '

Haruka was not sure what kind of mission he would be provided in the Gates of Divination which suddenly popped into his life that was why he chose to get his edge sharpened and skills refreshed before he dives in for a new skill.

And to get him reshaped there could only be one ideal place to visit.

Dungeons.

Detecting a newly appeared dungeon near the southeastern coastline, Haru grinned before he landed just before it, and upon detection he found it was at least B rank.

Cracking his knuckles he began walking inside the place which would prove to be a good refreshment center.

"It's time to grind~"
