Chapter 6 - Shortie

The next day Emma is prepared to move in with LTG, she had already packed everything she'd need the previous day. She was nervous but she had to do this for her Dad's Company. She got into her car and she started her journey to LTG'S house.

On her way she called Robert to tell him about her moving. Immediately he picked she instructed him on what to do about her house. She'd probably rent it or she'd just leave it and let him take care of it while she would be away.

On her way she saw a group of kids begging for alms and she felt sympathy for them so she parked her car somewhere close, wore a mask and got down from the car to go over to them.

She really wanted to know why they were alone on the streets, where were their parents. Why would they allow their kids beg on the streets, what kid of parents were they. These thoughts were running through her mind as she crossed the street to see them.

Just as she got there one of the kids ran over to her and she happily embraced her. She looked like she was just three and she didn't like the fact that a kid like her was begging on the streets.

She carried the girl not minding the dirt on her body or how she looked. 'Guess they have irresponsible parents because a responsible parents would rather beg to feed their kids than let their kids beg' This was the thought that ran through her head.

"kids where are your parents?". She asked them as she spoke in their language.

"We don't know where they are that's why we're here begging, please help us auntie". One of the kids that looked the oldest answered her in Hangul.

Right now she feel like killing their parents, they should be greatful that they weren't there if not she would have made them suffer. One of the things she hated was one disregarding their responsibilities.

She give them all the money in her purse but that wasn't all. "Hello Felix, I need you to track my location fast and bring a car to pick some kids, they're about six and you need to take them to the orphanage" she called one of her most trusted men to come pick up the kid because from their looks one would know they've really suffered and they need to be taken care of soon.

After a few minutes Felix arrived to pick the up kids. She told him to feed them first before taking them to the orphanage.

"I've given them some money, take them to mum's restaurant and get them some food to eat".

Since her Dad built an orphanage in some countries and Korea was one of them she decide to let them stay there, it was the only thing she could do to keep them safe.

After making sure they were safe, she headed back to her car to continue her journey. She was still thinking about the kids while driving. Luckily her thoughts gets cleared immediately she spots a school on the way.

She drove into the school and she saw a board that said 'Lee's Dance College'. Before walking into the school she heard a voice come from behind her and she turned around to look at him. "Did your Dad send another gift or you just came to visit me" and there he was.

She felt like slapping herself because her martial arts teacher, back when I was still a teen was standing right in front of her and all she could do was stare at him like a fool.

He taught her how to defend myself after she was attacked by two people and he also taught her how to use her powers.

He really hasn't changed after so many years.

"You really did build your own school". She should have called him master but he was the one who taught her that, she should only call a certain person master when she was sure that certain person was truly her master.

Who knew she would see him again. She knew she would eventually meet him but this was too early for her. She wasn't prepared, but she was still happy he was right there, right in front of her, right now.

For some reason she didn't want to leave him. She really needed him because she knew she still need his guidance and teachings.

Even though she hasn't forgotten his teachings she need more. She needed him to direct her correctly for the great battle coming.

"Well, we all need to take a break from our responsibilities sometimes, right?"

"That's true" she agreed with what he had said. That was one of the reasons she also came to Korea, but she has work at the same time.

"I'm sure you've been well. I definitely have missed my most loyal student" he touched her head and hugged. "How have you been dear?" He asked after he let her go.

"I've been good. I can see you're doing fine" he nodded in agreement.

"Since you're here and I'll be in Korea till October I guess, then why don't you take me in as your student again" she gave him this suggestion as an excuse to stay closer to him and learn some dance steps and luckily he agrees.

She was really happy she finally met her mentor. The last time she saw him was four years ago when he left for his country. He taught her how to protect herself and how she could control my powers as the last guardian.

He taught her everything about the Realm of immortals. About her immortal parents and about the war that led to her existence in the human world. He taught her everything she needed to know about her responsibilities as the last guardian and the reason for being the last guardian.

He taught her that she was supposed to guard the Demon Prince and the whole of The Immortal Realm. He trained her to be a good swordsman, archer, fighter and she was also trained to use my powers rightly. He told her about the witches betrayal which caused great the fight between the demons and the witches.

Everything she needed to know to carry out her duties as the Last Guardian. Even taught her how to link minds with and control her dragon. So yeah she would obviously want to spend more time with him.

She left to go register as a student for dance classes. She reach the door of an office that said, 'Mr Gu- Dance Teacher'.

His name looked Chinese and he really was Chinese. She registered as a student to receive dance lessons everyday, the dance classes also involved a little drama.

She give him a little dance performance to show him sheknew at least something about dancing which he thought was perfect. Mr Gu even told her to compete for Female Lead Dancer but she told him she'd try.

Just as she opened the door to leave her forehead collided hard with a pretty hard surface.

As she was rubbing her already red forehead that became red due to the hard impact of the bump a handsome face suddenly appeared right in front of hers.

"Hey Shortie you shouldn't look down when walking since you're already short". They guy which she bumped her forehead with suddenly smirked at me.

'Who's this donkey calling a Shortie, I'm not short. I'm okay". She thought to herself while giving him a deadly gaze but he didn't even flinch about it.

"You can call me a donkey but you have to tell me why you're here. I've never seen you here before. And why you haven't said sorry for bumping into me"

The hell, how did he know she had just called him a donkey. Is he a wizard or something?

"Why must I tell you why I'm here and I won't say sorry" she said with a straight face. She wouldn't be intimidated by anyone especially this tall freaking dude over here.

"Shortie I'm not begging you to but could you at least leave the way for me" he said while walking past her.

"Will you stop calling me Shortie already my name is Ling Yao!!"

She eventually ended up telling him her name due to the anger of being called a Shortie by a tall, cute and charming guy. It's kind of embarrassing.

He was amazed by the way she had spoke just now. Such a bold little girl.

"Listen donkey, I don't have time to play with you I have somewhere I have to be, so just stop pestering me big head"

Without waiting for an answer she pushed him aside to leave Mr Gu's office so that she could go LTG'S house before night comes.

Throughout, all Mr Gu could do was stare at their drama.
