Patchouli's eyes widened in shock as she surveyed the chaotic scene before her. Books lay scattered in disarray, shelves had been toppled, and the very foundations of the library seemed shaken.
"Wha-wha-wha..." Patchouli stammered, her normally composed demeanor shattered.
I felt a pang of guilt and quickly stepped forward, bowing deeply. "I'm sorry, Lady Patchouli. This was not our intention."
Patchouli's expression shifted from shock to a mix of frustration and resignation. She let out a long sigh as she surveyed the damage.
"It seems my efforts to keep this place orderly were in vain," she mumbled more to herself than anyone else.
"Lady Patchouli, please allow me to assist in the restoration of the library," I offered, still bowing.
I quickly stepped between Patchouli and the two Remilias, trying to defuse the tension. "Lady Patchouli, please, they're not here to cause any more trouble."
Patchouli's anger was palpable, but she reluctantly lowered her magics. "Explain yourselves, then."
The two Remilias exchanged glances, and the other one, Black Remilia, stepped forward.
"We came from another world, Patchouli. We didn't intend for this to happen. It was a misunderstanding, and we're genuinely sorry for the damage caused."
Liar, You're probably just bored.
Patchouli's expression remained skeptical, but she didn't immediately attack. "A misunderstanding, you say?"
The Black Remilia nodded. "Yes, we were playing a game, but it got out of hand."
Patchouli's gaze hardened. "This is a library, not a playground."
I stepped forward, trying to mediate further. "Lady Patchouli, I'll take responsibility for this mess and assist in the library's restoration."
Lady Remilia chimed in. "We'll help too, of course. We don't want to leave a bad impression."
Patchouli sighed, her anger subsiding slightly. "Very well. But this library means a lot to me. Do not take its sanctity lightly."
"By the way... Where is Sakuya and the other Hong Meiling?"
"I'm here." I watched as Sakuya, battered and bruised, made her way into the library. Her usually impeccable maid outfit was now torn and disheveled, revealing more than intended.
Sakuya emerged from the battle, bearing bruises and shredded clothing. Her disheveled appearance caught my attention, but before I could react, Lady Remilia stepped in, her gaze filled with possessiveness.
"Shun," she warned me sharply, "Don't look at Sakuya with those lecherous eyes of yours."
I quickly averted my gaze and muttered, "Y-Yes, my lady..."
The Black Remilia found the situation interesting, her mischievous demeanor never faltering.
Suddenly, Reimu entered the library, dragging along the Other Reimu and Other Marisa. Her own appearance was disheveled, her shrine maiden attire in shambles.
Seeing the state of the troublemakers, I couldn't help but express my concern. "Reimu... Don't tell me."
Reimu let out a sigh, her frustration was evident. "Yeah," she replied wearily, "They insisted on a showdown, and I had to oblige."
Uwah... She's crazily strong... a two versus one?
Anyway, I'll just clean up the messed-up books on the floor first.
I decided to begin the daunting task of cleaning up the scattered books that littered the floor.
My gaze wandered, landing on the two Flandres. Their earlier fervor had subsided, replaced by an unexpected peace. They lay side by side, eyes closed, their faces untroubled in a deep sleep.
"Finally," I sighed quietly, thankful that their chaotic battle finally ended.
"By the way you two..." The Black Remilia looked at me and Lady Remilia, "Did you two perhaps... have intercourse sex?" She said while grinning at us.
I straighten myself as I slowly look at the Black Remilia, "W-What do you mean?"
"By the way," the black Remilia looked at both me and Lady Remilia, a sly smile curving her lips, "Did you two, perhaps... engage in a more intimate activity?" Her suggestive tone left no room for misinterpretation.
I straightened up, my gaze steady, and questioned, "What do you mean by that?"
I shifted uncomfortably under her gaze, my cheeks growing warm with embarrassment.
Remilia's face darkened, her ruby eyes narrowing. "What's that to you?"
The Black Remilia simply laughed, a teasing glint in her eyes. "Oh, nothing, nothing. I was just curious about your relationships."
Urgk... Remilia said that we should keep this a secret until the full moon.
Lady Remilia swiftly stepped forward, her tone firm yet regal, "Shun and I have entered into a pact, nothing more." She then turned away, addressing Sakuya and me, "Now, Sakuya, Shun, the rest is in your capable hands."
"Yes, Milady," Sakuya and I replied in unison.
And so, we began the laborious task of cleaning up and restoring the library to its former state, aiming to satisfy Lady Patchouli's expectations.
Atleast for now, I'm safe..
