After a long day of dedicated cleaning and preparation, the library was finally back in order. Shelves neatly organized, books meticulously arranged, and any damage repaired to the best of our abilities.
Lady Patchouli, upon inspecting the library, finally seemed content with the results.
She approached Sakuya and me with a rare smile, "Thank you for your efforts. The library looks wonderful."
We both nodded, relieved to have her approval. "It was our pleasure, Lady Patchouli."
The otherworldly guests, such as the alternate Remilias and Meilings, had left after their battles, leaving us with the task of rebuilding and restoring the mansion.
They destroyed the place and did not even lend a single hand.
Honestly, It was tiring!
Sakuya looked at me as we finished up the last touches on a bookshelf. "It's been quite eventful day, Shun."
I sighed, wiping sweat from my brow. "That it has, Sakuya. But at least, we can now return to normal right?"
Sakuya closed the door of the fully restored bookshelf. "Indeed, and now it's time for some well-deserved rest."
Lady Remilia positioned herself between Sakuya and me, her crimson eyes locking onto mine. "Shun... come to my room."
My eyes widened, caught off guard. "Eh?"
She leaned closer, her voice low and insistent. "No complaints, Sakuya will attend to our guests."
Sakuya nodded, her demeanor is calm as ever. "Of course, Milady." She then glanced at me before walking away, leaving me alone with Lady Remilia.
Why the sudden?
I entered Lady Remilia's room, a sense of curiosity and concern bubbling within me. I found her standing near the window, her gaze fixed on the moonlit night.
"Erm, Lady Remilia? What did you call me for?"
She turned to me, and her usually playful eyes bore a hint of seriousness. "Shun, this might be just my intuition, but... are you looking for an opportunity with Sakuya?" Her voice carried a note of possessiveness.
I was taken aback by the question, "No, Lady Remilia. I respect Sakuya as a devoted servant, but there's no such intention from my side."
She exhaled, her demeanor shifting from seriousness to a more playful one.
"I see, I see... I guess my old habits are acting up again. But it's reassuring to know you're loyal to me."
"Of course, Lady Remilia. My loyalty lies with you."
She took a step closer, her hand lightly touching my chest. "Good... Because I wouldn't want to share you with anyone else." Her tone had shifted back to that mischievous playfulness.
Our lips came into contact as I carefully embraced her and inserted my tongue into her mouth. We then toyed with our tongues for a while.
"Mmhm~ Shun~"
"Lady Remi."
As I was about to do the deed, a soft knock echoed through the room. I moved to the door and gently opened it.
"Oh? There you two are~" The Black Remilia greeted us with a sly grin.
"Black Remilia," Lady Remilia responded, her tone laced with a touch of irritation. "What do you want?"
"My, my, don't get too excited, Just checking up on you two."
Remilia's gaze narrowed slightly, "We're fine. You can go now."
"But why? I was just enjoying the view." The Black Remilia's smirk only widened.
"We don't need your presence here," Remilia's voice grew colder, almost frosty.
I interjected, trying to ease the tension, "Is there something you need, Other Remilia?"
"...I knew there was something fishy here... you two are dating, aren't you?" The Black Remilia teased, her eyes glinting mischievously.
Remilia's face turned crimson, "We are not! Shun is merely an employee."
The Black Remilia leaned in closer, "Oh? That's not what it looked like earlier."
"We were simply... discussing matters," Remilia insisted, her tone growing sharper.
Lady Remilia is trying so hard to hide our relationship.
"Shun... There you are," Lady Patchouli chimed in as she walked forward to me, "Do you mind going to my library for a bit?"
I glanced at Lady Remilia, and she flashed me a subtle, worried look. "E-Erm... Y-Yeah, just for a bit."
Patchouli sensed the hesitation and continued, "I want to examine something in your body, Shun. It's about the vampiric magic."
Remilia's eyes widened as she protested, "Patchy, can't you two do this tomorrow? Or the day after tomorrow?"
But Patchouli was adamant, shaking her head, "No, Remi. I sense something unique about Shun's magic, and I need to understand it."
I turned to Remilia, trying to reassure her, "It's okay, Lady Remilia! I'll be back before you know it."
With a resigned sigh, Remilia turned away, her crimson eyes hinting at a hint of jealousy and possessiveness.
That just now... Lady Remilia being jealous?! I don't know how to react! I'm happy but concerned at the same time.
"Do whatever you need to do then, but come back soon." She closed the door to her room.
Idiot Shun.
