"Oh, come one. Already scared?" A student mocked Lauren, but she just stared at him without saying anything. At the moment, it was good to stay quiet.
"Are you scared too?" The same boy looked at Raden and asked in a challenging tone.
Hazel was quiet, which surprised Lauren, but she let it go, thinking it may be because she was forced to go with them.
"Hey, man. Who said I was scared?" Raden snorted and glanced at Lauren before turning to the boy. "But I think girls can stay outside. Why not go inside first?" Raden bravely suggested He was obviously saving the girls from humiliation.
"What's going on?" Everyone was startled by the sudden voice.
As she stood there, frozen in fear, Lauren watched as a dark figure approached her with a sense of purpose.
