Elliott and Lauren walked out of the cafeteria into the open garden. When they reached the mouth of the garden, there was no one except them.
There was a bench, but it had snow on it. Elliott smiled and turned towards Lauren. Upon seeing his eyes, she frowned, wondering what he needed now.
"Why don't you use your power to melt this snow and make a space to sit?" Elliott suggested, while Lauren looked at the bench full of snow and sighed.
She didn't know if she would be able to use her powers again. So she looked at her hands, and Elliott noticed her reaction to his words. He felt wronged.
"But it's okay if you don't want to use it now. I know—"
"No, I think I should use them. I don't know if it will work." Lauren smiled at him, showing her white teeth as she walked towards the bench.
