Jackson was speechless.
He stared at the lines of comments on her phone and reflexively wanted to continue scrolling to read them.
Nidia refused to let him do so.
She wasn't afraid of him reading what they said, but rather of him finding out that these weren't exactly objective opinions.
"Give me back my phone!" said Nidia as she reached out to snatch the phone back.
Jackson kept quiet and lifted his gaze to look at her.
Nidia didn't dare to make eye contact with him as she was obviously panicking.
But Jackson was skilled in the art of observation since his teens. He was adept in reading people, especially given his years of experience mingling with the elites of the Imperial District.
Hence, he could read Nidia like a book too.
As soon as she leaped toward him to grab the phone, he simply raised his arm high and lifted the phone out of her reach.
