Chika clapped her hands with enthusiasm.
Del stared at the birthday cake in front of him with a clearly bored expression. Kylia, caught up in the excitement, clapped her hands to the rhythm of Chika's singing.
"Blow the candles... blow the candles now... now... Del, blow the candles," Chika commanded, still smiling, which made Del shudder.
With a reluctant face, Del blew out the birthday candles. Chika and Kylia's cheers and applause grew louder. Afterward, Del could only surrender his chubby cheeks, filled with baby fat, to be kissed fiercely by Chika and Kylia.
