Amber lanterns illuminated the Sacred Chamber, showering it with a soft yellow glow that was easy on the eyes. Circular pillars held the grand throne room at strategic spots at the sides, adorned with special gems and coated with gold.
The marble floor was polished to perfection. Tapestries and portraits covered the side walls, giving the grandiose chamber a homey personality that welcomed the prince inside.
Arthur didn't get to appreciate this beauty though.
Something else gripped the prince's heart. It was the sound of his father. Standing on the lowered floor in front of the large throne was his brother, Gray.
The Crown prince was dressed in casual trousers and a loose button-up shirt. His flaming well-trimmed hair was free of the gell from earlier, shooting about in all directions.
Arthur liked this look even better. It was wilder… and much more like the prince, in his opinion.
