Priscilla stirred in bed. Ever since she'd fainted since Gaius was beheaded, She'd had nightmares upon nightmares during her troubled sleep.
As Adriana sat by her bedside keeping watch over her, the momentary joy she'd felt when Bren had clarified everything in front of the council members had gone sour. "You poor thing." She breathed, reaching out to stroke her hair. She felt so much pity for her.
"No!" Priscilla yelled suddenly, jerking up to a sitting position. Now that the moment had finally come, Adriana found she just didn't have the words to say to her. She wanted so badly to say something, anything. But she'd lost her voice.
"What are you doing here, my lady?'' Priscilla asked. She looked around her, a confused look on her face. ''Why am I here?"
Adriana groaned. Priscilla was making this a lot more difficult than it already was.
"Where's Gaius?'' Priscilla asked, making to get out of bed.
"Priscilla, please." Adriana began.
