Chapter 8 - Ch 8: Filming Halloween - Part 2

{3rd Person POV}

It was nearing the end of the 20 – day shoot. It had mostly gone smoothly, except for a few equipment being broken, as well as Emily accidentally breaking James masks.

This was very normal in shooting. Even big director's projects have stuff like this. However, it was still costly. The only reason the budget didn't increase was due to James not taking a pay, but instead asked for a back end deal with points.

And due to the mask being broken, they had to re-take the final scene.

Oliver was currently standing outside of a house that'll pose as Tommy Doyle's house, and James was besides him putting the new mask on.

"Is it uncomfortable?" Oliver asked.

"Kinda, but it's still manageable." Replied James.

"I see." Oliver hummed. "When you're ready, we'll start." Oliver said as he walked away to the director's chair.

He sat there for a few minutes, before saying. "Alright everyone, let's start. Get in your positions."

The two kids, Emily and James went inside the house, with and Oliver soon following.

Reaching the first floor, Oliver shouted. "Alright everyone, be quite. And... action!"

As soon as those words left his mouth, Emily, now acting as Laurie Strode, walked up the stairs with her right arm bleeding.

Walking up to the bedroom door, knocked on it. "Tommy, Lindsey." She said in a low voice, as the bedroom door open, revealing the two aforementioned children.

As they came out of the room, Laurie brought them into a hug, and put them down after a few seconds.

"I'm gonna go take a walk." Laurie said, while taking heavy breaths.

"What about the boogeyman?" Asked Tommy.

"I'm scared." Lindsey said, nearly tearing up.

"There's nothing to be scared of."

"Are you sure?" Asks Tommy, not convinced.

Laurie confidently nods in response, as the noise of someone walking on the stairs grows louder.

"How?" Tommy asks, on the verge of crying.

"I killed him." She said, as her eyes darted between the two.

It was then that Michael appeared , climbing the last stair.

"You can't kill the boogeyman!" He says.

Loud breathing noise is heard by the two kids, and they look behind Laurie, only to see the supposedly dead boogeyman alive.

Tommy and Lindsey shout, as Laurie turns around and sees Michael standing behind her. She hurriedly enters the bedroom with them.

"Come on, get in there Tommy! Now lock the door!" Laurie runs into the bedroom, and opens the balcony door, as Michael slowly enters the room.

Laurie sees the closet, and hides inside there. She uses a cloth to tie the door knob, and then moves to the corner.

Michael enters the room, and walks straight to the bedroom. Laurie cries, fearing her death.

Michael's shadow is cast inside the closet,  and he tries to break open the door. In response, Laurie tries to use the clothes to hide.

Michael shakes the door violently, as Laurie gets more scared.

He stops after a  few seconds, and then thrusts his knife and breaks the top part of the closet, as the wood falls down. He continues doing so, and turns the light bulb in the closet on.

He breaks more of the closet, until his torso is in view. Laurie grabs a hanger and bends it.

The light bulb flickers, as Michael tries to grab Laurie. She pokes him in the eye with the hangar, causing him to drop his knife as he tried to take out the hanger from his eyes.

Laurie grabs the knife and stabs Michael in the chest. Michael covers his chest wound and falls to the ground.

Laurie tries to calm herself down, and points the knife in front of her, expecting Michael to get back up.

She looks out of the hole that was created due to Michael breaking the closet, and stares at his body, before opening the door and walking out.

She cautiously walks around Michael's body, and drops the knife to the ground, and walks to the bathroom door.

She knocks, and says. "Tommy, unlock the door. As the door opens, she brings them out.

"Come 'ere. Listen, when you go down the stairs, out the front door, I want you to go down the street to the McKenzie's house, I want you to tell them to call the police, and tell them to send them here. Now, do you understand me? Now, go and do as I say." The two kids stand up and leave, as Laurie leans on the bedroom door with her eyes closed .

Suddenly, Michael gets up, and turns his head towards Laurie.

Laurie then gets up, as does Michael. He starts walking towards her, and when he gets near the door, Laurie starts walking out of the room.

Michael speed-walks to Laurie and grabs her by the neck. Laurie grabs Michael's arms and tries to free herself from him while thrashing here and there.

Soon, Dr. Samuel comes running up the stairs and takes out his gun.

Laurie grabs Michael's masks and throws it off his face, causing Michael to loosen his grip and set Laurie free. Michael stands there for a moment, with his mask in his hand.

Dr. Samuel then shoots Michael as he tries to put his mask on, causing him to fall back into the bedroom, as Laurie covers her ears, crouching in the corner crying.

Dr. Samuel runs into the bedroom and sees Michael standing, so he shoots him five times. As each bullet hits him, Michael tumbles back and falls off the balcony, lying on the ground.

Dr. Samuel stands there for moment, before bringing his gun down. Laurie stops covering her ears, and looks at Dr. Samuel.

"Was that the boogeyman?" She asks, while crying.

Dr. Samuel looks back at her, and answers. "As a matter of fact, it was."

Saying this, he walks to the balcony and looks down, only to find that Michael had ran away. Dr. Samuel looks at the sky, as Laurie starts crying.

"Alright, cut!" Oliver says as he gets up from his chair.

"Good job everyone. That was an amazing performance. Especially you Emily." Oliver looks at her for a second and walks to Peter Gray, the actor of Dr. Samuel. "Now, we'll film the kids running out and you entering the house."

-

"Quiet on set! Ready? And... action!"

The door to the house opens, and come running out Tommy Lindsey. "Come on, get out! Come on! Come on!" Shouts Tommy.

Dr. Samuel, who was patrolling the area, saw them, and walks closer to the house. He tries to peek inside, and then looks at the kids running away.

"And cut!" Oliver got off his seat and walked towards Peter. "You did great, Mr. Peter."

"It's thanks to you that I got this opportunity. I thank you with all my heart." Peter says with tears in his eyes.

"Don't mention it." He brought both his hands up. "Anyways, the shooting is done! Take some rest and then you can leave, guys."

Oliver grabbed a water bottle and took a sip, and saw Benjamin walking towards him.

"These guys did a phenomenal job. You really hit the jackpot with them, huh?" He said.

"Haha, I guess I should thank Lady Luck, huh? Anyways, thank you for taking this job. Without you, this movie would never have been the same."

"Now you're flattering me. You're a really good director, so don't bring yourself down." Benjamin then looks down and says. "Y'know, when I first met you, I thought you would be another rich or naïve kid, thinking he could make a movie just because. And you proved me wrong. So cheer up, kid."

Oliver had an unreadable expression, and opened his mouth to say something. However, Benjamin continued, forcing Oliver to stay silent. "But you're too nice sometimes for your own good, kid. Act like that, and people will think you're a pushover."

At his words, Oliver smiled. "Thanks for the advice, Mr. Benjamin. I look forward to working with you again." Je brought his hand forward.

"That confident, huh?" Smiling himself, Benjamin shook his hand.

There was only one thing in Oliver's mind now. "To release more movies and become the top dog of Hollywood!"

The only thing remaining was to edit the movie and release it.

A/N: That's that! Hope you liked it! This is the end of the daily uploads. For now, atleast. I'll do them again in late May till July.

Also, we hit 10k words! Let's gooo! Though, for some reason, I can't vote (No slander). Why is that? I searched it up and it says the story needs 15k words. Is that true?
