The morning sun cast a warm glow as Rachel finished preparing breakfast for the group. They gathered around the makeshift table and enjoyed the meal, energizing themselves for the day ahead.
As they ate, conversation flowed easily among the group. They discussed their plans for the day and expressed their gratitude to Rachel for her cooking skills. Joy filled the air, bringing a sense of morale to the group.
After breakfast, Drey suggested that they leave in two hours. He wanted to give the group some time to familiarize themselves with the weapons he had brought for them. The idea of handling futuristic weapons intrigued and excited them.
"Before we leave, I want you guys to give something for extra protection if needed, and if also you want to fight back."
Drey distributed the weapons a Laser Sword, Plasma Assault Rifle, and Laser Pistols to each member of the group. He will also assign the drones to assist them in their journey.
The group stared in awe at the advanced weaponry in their hands. Lana, unable to contain her curiosity, asked Drey where he had obtained such incredible technology.
"Drey... I know I'm being nosy but I really can't believe where you get all of this."
"Well, I don't care what Drey has, weird things are already happening."Jamie chimed in.
"Well, At least it will make our survival greater so I don't care." Shauna followed.
Drey simply smiled and replied, "It's a secret, Lana. Let's just say I have my sources."
With the weapons in hand, the group followed Drey to a large open area within the rooftop mall. It was the perfect space for practice and training. Drey emphasized the importance of safety, explaining that he would handle most of the killing to avoid any friendly fire incidents.
For the next two hours, the group dedicated themselves to training under Drey's guidance. He taught them the proper techniques for wielding the weapons efficiently and effectively. His experience and expertise proved invaluable as he shared advice and tips to improve their skills.
"I don't even know how to fire guns but how did I even hit zombies from here," Jamie said, surprised at what she did.
Drey already knew that the advanced weapons greatly help them increase their accuracy, helping the newbies wield it easily. However, Drey noticed Rachel has skills in shooting, it was evident by her form and breathing. So he asked.
"Rachel, have you trained using guns before?"
She smiled and answered. "Yes, my father taught me about it. He is in the army so sometimes if we are on vacation, he taught me and my mother to use guns for self-defense."
As they practiced, Drey took a moment to communicate with Aegis, his robotic companion. He asked if he could still collect drops from the zombies his friends will kill. Aegis responded telepathically, assuring Drey that it was indeed possible as the system will automatically transfer the drops to his inventory if he wanted to.
The group immersed themselves in the training, swinging their laser swords, firing their plasma Assault Rifles, and aiming with precision using the Laser pistols. Each member grew more confident with every swing and shot. Drey encouraged them, praising their progress and offering constructive feedback to help them improve.
Finally, the two-hour practice session came to an end. The group felt a sense of accomplishment, knowing that they were better equipped for the challenges that lay ahead.
They changed into comfortable clothes they had found in the mall, ready to step outside and embark on their trip. Excitement and determination filled their hearts as they prepared to follow Drey, placing their trust in him and the futuristic weapons he had provided.
With the morning sun shining brightly, the group gathered at the mall entrance, ready to face the unknown. They stood together, united in their purpose, knowing that they had each other's backs. The next chapter of their adventure awaited them, and they were prepared to confront whatever came their way.
