Elizabeth's POV
I opened my eyes.
Unlike previous dreams where I woke up after the action with no memory, I was still in the dream, but the location was... the Time Chamber.
"If my guesses are correct..." I followed my reasoning and headed to a certain room.
When I entered the room and looked in a certain direction, what I found wasn't the little dragon, but a young woman almost the same age as mom.
"Hello, older sister," said the young woman.
The young woman who called herself my sister was sitting on the bed with an elegant posture, nothing like the cute dragon she seemed to be.
What surprised me the most were her physical characteristics, as her hair was pure white like the snow in that forest where I went to train, her eyes were... colors? Yes, her eyes changed color with every passing second, which was very strange.
"Could you explain to me what the hell is going on?" I said. I was almost certain that she was responsible for these weird dreams I had every day that were hindering my life, to the point where I had to forget my pride to find answers.
"Of course, older sister, that's why I'm here, but I'm afraid you won't be able to remember until a certain time passes," she said with a slight smile.
"I don't care, just tell me what the hell that was you showed me," I said with a bit of anger and impatience.
"Well, you could say what you saw was a future that can no longer happen," she told me and explained her situation.
It turns out that the orb I saw in the last dream, whose name was the Eternal Sunset Sphere, is a kind of apocalyptic weapon capable of resetting reality. The reason why everyone was defending the women was because a lot of cosmic energy was needed and those who had bodies or constitutions that allowed them to manipulate cosmic energy had to focus their entire being to make that weapon activate.
The origin of these women?
Descendants of my other sisters who fell in battle. According to my supposed sister, the invasion of the new universe will happen gradually but silently, as it will camouflage itself as another evil that the system won't "recognize".
The reason why she says that that future cannot happen is because she has already been interfering with this timeline long before the so-called competition for the universe even happened.
"Let me get this straight, your future is a hell and you were able to exclude yourself from the effect of that weapon they worked so hard to protect, just to change this new timeline, but what exactly are you going to change?" I asked.
According to what she said, the invasion of those aberrations was inevitable, since many worlds that the universal system was connected to already had signs of these things. The way they invaded the "New universe" was through other hosts like mom and dad.
"I've already made a lot of changes, for example, dad's psychology before coming to this world, your birth...." she said, but when she was starting to list them, I interrupted.
"Wait, wait, wait, what do you mean my birth?" I said, bewildered.
"Well, if we follow the previous timeline, you should be born much later, since I was the one who arranged for both dad and the empress... your mother to be twins. As for how you were born in my original timeline, well.... it's a secret," she said, and at the end, she made a hushing gesture with her finger.
"As for dad's psychology, well, it's easier, since I've been giving him direct suggestions in his soul from Earth so that certain future events, in which he is supposed to act in one way, he acts in another," she said.
"Are you brainwashing dad from his original world?" this surprised me a lot, since although my father had already told me he came from a place called Earth, the fact that this young woman is capable of going to that dimension is not normal, and the fact that she has been brainwashing dad since before he even arrived in the immortal world was really disturbing.
"I wouldn't say brainwashing, more like an anti-error filter. You must know that dad was very different from the one you know, he was more like... a sociopath on steroids?" said the young woman.
"Define sociopath on steroids," I said, since although I was already getting an idea of what that was like, there are many dragons like that in my inherited memory.
"Well, dad was very unconscious, since he believed that the world revolved around him, and that's a mistake, since in the New Universe there are no so-called children of the sky or idiots with a lot of luck. That gave room to commit countless errors that later cost us in the war against them," the young woman responded with a slightly serious voice.
"Them?" I asked, although I already knew who she was referring to. I really wanted to know her official definition to have a reference when I have to fight against them, but life doesn't always give you what you want.
"Yes, them. I can't tell you much about them, since you're too weak and as you haven't yet detached yourself from the immortal world or reached the level of universal power, telling you something could be perceived by them and accelerate their invasion. Don't worry, you'll know what I'm talking about later," she explained.
"Well, what's your plan to survive them?" I asked with a bit of anxiety. Since she has been conspiring even before dad arrived in this world, she must have something planned, right?.
"You should know that although not all of our failure was our father's fault, his negligence dealt us a great blow. But to summarize, I can tell you that if we count just the two of us, dad only had seven daughters," she said.
"Seven is little?" I asked incredulously. You should know that it's already a miracle for a dragon to have three children in their lifetime, especially Absolute Dragons, as their chances of surviving infancy are not very encouraging.
"Remember what I said before? If so, you can recall the dreams I showed you, and it's not hard to find the answer," she replied slowly, as if dealing with an idiot.
Forgive me for not playing along when you disturb my childhood and terrorize me with those dreams, I thought.
But if you think about it, in my dreams, everything I saw was centered on running away and, in the end, protecting those girls/women. If we put the pieces together, then besides me, only the third generation of holders of the Star Demon body remained, which meant that my entire family, including my parents and supposed sisters, at least at that time, died in war.
In the last dream, it was seen how my future self could face the biggest monster with its techniques, before deciding to burn its core.
"Cosmic energy is their weakness..." I said slowly.
"Ding, ding, ding. Correct, older sister. You should know that the chances of the third generation inheriting the Star Demon normally are very low, so each one of them is a treasure. If we had just had more time, we could have faced them. That's why my plans, which were discussed by all our sisters, are just more of us," she said.
"The first plan was quite simple. We just had to get dad to father us earlier and then instigate him to have new sisters. The second plan was to implant a virus in this time's universal system, with the help of the souls that other hosts 'voluntarily' gave for the cause. But we won't talk about that, we'll talk about the first one."
"The system is not what it seems and the daddy points can't give you everything, but you'll see later," said the young woman.
"It was a simple but effective solution. And you are the representation of my success, as you should be more powerful than my self in my time, or at least you should be in this future. This is represented simply by the way we are communicating," she continued.
"Communicating? Isn't this a dream?" I asked, confused.
"Yes and no. The fact that we can communicate means that you were born with a divine soul. I won't tell you more about this, but you should know that the faster you get the divine soul, the more powerful you will be. And keep in mind that my self in my time only got it when she was an adult and in the midst of war," she said with a bitter smile.
"I don't think I can digest this for a while," I said as I tried to organize the information this young woman was giving me.
"You don't need to digest it, as it will be some time before you remember this conversation. This is to not disturb your heart and development. I'm simply preparing your instincts, and don't worry, when you're ready, we'll meet again," said the young woman whose name I "curiously" forgot to ask.
"What's your name?" I asked, narrowing my eyes.
The young woman opened her eyes a little, but then shook her head and with a smile, replied, "Chronia."
"Have you implanted suggestions in me too?" I asked, as it's not normal for me to talk for so long with someone and have accepted their words without even knowing their name or if what they told me are their true intentions, but...
I could only see her waving goodbye as my senses faded away, not without hearing her last words.
"See you at the second event of the Universal System, sister Elizabeth."
