Chapter 15 - The Power of The Page

"Oh. Thou finally decide to visit thy friend ha, ¿how long doth thou regard thou were gone for hmm. Well, it doesn't matter e'en mine great self do not wot either, seeing trivial concepts like time are meanless hither, yet apart from that, it's good to meet thou once moe."

Announced Kthilla from above, sitting comfortably, in one of the red cushion chairs of the cinema, both her legs cross and arms folded, she gave me a rather prideful and domineering smile, as she speaks to me in her usual old-fashioned tone, reminiscence to that of Shakespearian English, of broad archaic.

Even looking at her debunk form, she was still as beautiful as the day I lay my eyes on her.

Although captured by the essence of her beauty, I soon slap myself out of the trance, although I have to admit that her natural ability to enchant others with her soulless gaze alone, is terrifyingly stellar.

But, even my quick gaze did not pass her, as she smile smugly if not teasingly, and said as such.

"Hmm, doth mine great self contentious beauty captivates thy heart aye so a mite, kaka... thy taste 'I woman is something questionable, if not morbid."

Kthilla said in a teasing manner, as a portion of her retain self-hate showed in that single statement.

She was teasing me, I know this much, but then again, her behavior of questioning her outer appearance from time to time truly reminds me of my late wife Maria, who always had issues with her retained weight, to the point exercise became an unhealthy obsession of hers in one point in her life.

'Honestly, this wholesome abomination, that speaks in old fashion English, with its unearthly biology lacks self-confidence, yes as her friend I should encourage her to be more poised.'

I said in agreement with my statement, nodding with vigor.

So with that said, I smile, or more like I attempted to smile her way, as I said.

"My taste might be questionable indeed."

"¡Undoubtedly!"

Kthilla replied, to which I concurred.

"But in this dark and cruel world, there exist perverts with even more questionable taste than mines, I won't lie; some like them thick, many like them small, and, others love them balanced."

"Why are thou suddenly bringing this up?"

"Because I want you to understand my words and honest feeling, as a friend it's equally annoying to me, and unbefitting for you to look down on yourself like you do."

"Egh?"

"And why doth thou care?"

She asks with a soft voice.

"Why would I not care?"

"..."

"You see Kthilla I'm a very opened minded person, I can be very cruel with my honesty, but in this case, I will be honest with you, your alien-like appearance means nothing to me, hell your unique in every way possible."

"Wot?!"

"Half human, half God, both of best worlds if you ask me."

"Haaaa!"

"That by itself is enough to pique my curiosity in more ways than one, and honestly speaking you look gorgeous, so take this piece of advice from your good old friend Prelati here, you're a queen, look high, be proud, and stop being so hateful towards your appearance."

I commented with honesty.

However, when I said this, her cheek blush a fragrance of blue, as her panicked voice became vocally clear.

"Ar... Ar... Art thou trying to causes meself in scarlet?!"

"You mean blush."

"Blush or scarlet, different words, like meaning, it doesn't matter, mine point still stands firm, thou blinking idiot."

Kthilla said hastily hiding her embarrassment in the cloak of darkness, but her blush, or as she calls it, her Scarlet, was glowing in the darkness of the cinematic theater, making it quite obvious.

"But it's true, you... are...very... beautiful, or as we say in my homeworld motherland tongue, tu es très belle mon amie d'au-delá des étoiles."

I retorted in a teasing manner, after all, seeing her act up like this to harmful flirtatious play, brings back a level of nostalgia that I both miss and love, it was even more depressing seeing this type of puppy play is a luxury I shall never reclaim with my original family.

"What didst thou... thou... just say? Thy pronunciation causes meself to feel both fortunate, yet also embarrassed."

"Do you really want to know?"

She remained silent but curiosity, got the best of her as she nods her head.

"Alright, I will tell you, come down here and let me whisper it in your ears."

I said out loud, however, she gave me a suspicious look, but sighed it off as she gives in, and jump down to the seat next to me while saying.

"Ok I am hither, now say to me what thou quoth, like thou warrant."

"Sure, I said...

But upon telling her what I said in French, her entire body began to glow and dye the entire room in a lapis light, to the point she was hiding her face behind her tentacle, as she shouts out in shyness and embarrassment.

"¡Now thy just doing this on intent, if this continues my entire corporal agent shall be in scarlet, 'I embarrassment, please forbear the teasing!"

When she did this, I couldn't contain myself anymore, I was holding it too long.

"Pftt...

"Ha?

"Pftt... Hahaha... You fluster easily, too easily in fact hahaha!"

"Are thou taking me lightly?"

"No no no, it's just that for a demi-God, who is the daughter of an abomination, your fun to be with, it's been a while since I have had this much nostalgic fun."

But upon saying this her face slightly went up in annoyance, and said to me to change the conversation.

"You idiot, it's not funny, so forbear laughing this present; Ah. Sigh! Ha. O ay that right didn't thou had a reason to join hither 'I the first place, mine great self can say to with ease, it so obvious, thou see I am capable of sensing other peoples emotions and desires, it's clear to me thou desire help with a problem, one beyond thou, so say to me how I, the witch of secrets be of assistance thee?"

"Hahaha... Well, all fun and jokes aside that is true."

I replied to her, to which she answer back as well.

"Doth thou care to explain?"

"Sure you see it a started after...

From there I began to explain the full story to Kthilla from start to finish, however, her face went up in confusion, then one of fear.

As she said to herself, out loud.

"No way, could it very be that?"

"¡No that's impossible, 'twere stolen from the Sdrana Sand Sea by an unknown cut-purse, that was the last time anyone hath aye seen or known of its existence, and this was five hundred years ere mine birth!"

Said Kthilla in shock, her eyes soon turning to me, as she said with a grand smile.

"Sherlock, if this page is what Methinks it is, then forsooth thou hast been blessed with stupid luck beyond e'en me, thou might e'en be the last original owner if thou reclaim it, and compose its faculties yours."

At this point and time, I was confused and lost, seeing that I have no idea what she is talking about, so I look at her and ask.

"Am. That's nice and all, but I'm lost can you please explain to me what this folded page is?"

Her smile increases even more, as the answer she gives me was as such.

"One gaze and she became a craze, one touch and thou were amazed, yet set back by the blaze of madness its tender pages contain, all these descriptions, all these psychological effects, and from a page nonetheless, there exists only one book 'I the history of creation that can drive a person crazy with madness just by merely glancing into its forbidden content, doth thou wot what it is, are e'en prepare for such occulted and arcane knowledge that is akin to bearing the orb of magic by its balls itself?"

"So it's from a book, and what's the name of the book?"

"Kaka... Interested now are ye. Well it's the book beyond life and perpetual wink; the book of myths, the original tome of God Almighty, it is quoth to contain the secrets of the universe, the laws of creation, and the principle of domination, this book goes by many names, the tale of creation, gods diary, the tome of beginning, and so on, and so on, yet it's most famous name is the book of knowledge: The Necronomicon."

"But 'I this case, it is a page from that quoth book, that's the only piece of art that I wot can drive a person mad by merely looking at its words alone."

"I see so is there a way to help mother, like someway to make her unseen the forbidden?"

I ask in great worry seeing that mother's life might be in great danger.

"Well, there is two options ere thou."

"That being?!"

"The first option is yet a temporary fix, and that is to submit to morphine, and become a slave to its effects."

"And the second?"

"Your mother needs to cancel insanity with insanity, meaning she shall want to walk the path of a corrupted, seeing she only saw a glimpse of the forbidden text 'tis not all too ill, level 6 should'st be enough to fix her broken mind, till then however; morphine, and lots of it."
