The highway was extremely large and complex in every sense of the word, especially since the architecture of such creation was something I found impossible for modern-day earth to pull off.
Imagine thousands if not millions of spiders making webs everywhere, as they branch off into every settlement that the empire has to offer, it was something to behold indeed.
It's definitely something I can only imagine in fantasy, and not reality, as my point of view, and knowledge don't allow me to make sense of such massive creation.
Seeing the northern continent have a lot of smaller settlements, that is more than a thousand.
Each curve leads to a different one as it goes along.
"Looks this place is as busy as ever."
Denzel commented going full speed up ahead.
And it wasn't an exaggeration at all, the highway was indeed in heavy use 24/7 and more.
Even now we could see that the highway was slightly busy as different carriages pass us, along with steam power horses pulling their masters' carriages.
Nobles, commoners, and merchants all use the highway to travel.
"From Hale to Mythrolonica city should take us about six to eight hours, so if you guys want you can sleep, I will take care of the driving from here."
Denzel announces, to which mother replies.
"I might just take you up on that offer sooner or later, a lady does need her beauty sleep after all."
"Knock yourself out ma."
Alexander said at the side.
However, at that same time, Alexander suddenly remember something important when his eyes met with mines, as he look at me and said while grabbing something out of his briefcase.
"By the way little bro, I did promise you a gift when I left for Jeffersons, but due to the situation, I forgot to give you, so here."
Alexander said to me, as he hand me a large square black square box with some fancy design clad in gold, it was a rectangular shape, and on it was a familiar logo that I have come across so many times in my second life.
It was a worldwide brand at that, a million-dollar name some would say in my old world.

A&A of course is owned by the Duke's of D'andre daughter; Cytherea Aphrodite of the Aphrodite family, and easily one of the richest if not the most influential women to walk this green earth.
They sell jewelry, and fashionable wear, then and again, the mere fact that Alexander got me something fashionable is so Alexander, but a gift is a gift, and as such I open it with gratitude.
And upon opening it, I found four items, the first was a fancy but classic pair of dual bronze Noe brass knuckle knives, the other was a classy-looking monocle for the right eye, while the next item was a simple but also fancy-looking pocket watch with a built-in compass, and last but not least was a neat and classy looking black fedora hat with a purple and white checkers design around it.
Alexander looks at me with a smiling face, as he said
"Well, what do you think?"
"... I love it."
"Try it on then."
Of course, I complied as I took the black fedora and place it on my head, it fits perfectly if anything too perfectly, I look at Alexander and said.
"Is this customized."
He smiles mischievously as he said.
"Fufu... Of course not, it's just that I know your size by sight alone."
"You have some very odd talents, but thanks you, I guess."
I commented to my brother, however, he wasn't finished because soon after, he said.
"Now for the main event, please put on the monocle, I know it will suit you, just like the fedora, this, of course, is the basic gentlemen's set, and it only costs two gold coins."
"Two gold coins, by the Gods Alexander, don't you think this is too expensive?"
"Expensive please a true gentleman, and a man of culture, should know a good monocle should not cost any less than a gold coin."
"I swear to God, brother your obsession over monocles, and cane is unhealthy as hell."
"Hmm. Well, it's what I love, but please try it on, I picked that one just for you."
At these words, I sighed out loud, as I just let Alexander have the "W" this time around, as I said to myself.
'Well he did go through the trouble of buying this for me, I might as well take this gift with appreciation."
From there I took the classy-looking monocle with a unique but simple multi-layer design and place it to my right eye, however when I look at Alexander, my eyes instantly open up in shock as I said out loud.
"¡Haaa¡"
Alexander looks at me with a satisfied look and commented.
"Damn, I must admit a monocle suits you more than it does me... But what's with loud outbursts just now?"
Alexander announces and asks at the same time.
However, I answered as such.
"Ha... Ah. No, it's nothing, but thanks a lot brother Alexander, I will treasure this gift for as long as I live, but yeah, how do I look?"
Alexander's smile widen even more, as he said.
"You, my good sir, look stunning, tell me who is the fine lady you shall be courting today."
He said jokingly, to which I laugh, and responded.
"Maybe a fair lady in my dreams."
I responded.
But mother soon announced.
"Sherlock, that style truly fits you my boy, maybe I should buy you a suit when we go sightseeing in the city before the cruise, I do want you to court a fine noble lady off her feet, take my advice girls like an honest man, with a cute face."
"Hahaha... Is that so?"
I said out loud as I laugh jokingly, however, I couldn't take any of these guys seriously for the mere reason that I am confused about what I am seeing.
Yes; Before I was these weird numbers clad and bordered in purple hovering and moving over everyone's head as if it was alive, along with their names, or I think that's what it is, seeing only Denzel's name is correct, but mother and Alexander names were different.
Yes, upon Alexander's head were the following names and numbers.

'Triton is that Alexander's real name or something, no then and again, we have a family rule, never ask each other about our past, but Triton, damn, he doesn't look like a Triton to me though?'
But apart from that, the strangest thing was the fact that every second the number changed as if it was a clock counting down to something.
But my attention soon switch to Denzel, however, his numbers were large as hell.

'This number I wonder, if it's their lifespan, yeah then why does Denzel has such a freakishly large life span, it's in the billions, im guessing this is seconds, even for a witch or warlock that's too high.'
Either way though, the most puzzling one to me is mother, both her name and number are rather concerning, why well her name, or I'm guessing her true name well why not see it for yourself?

Yes, Mother Delilah's name is Loki, and if I remember correctly Loki was the God of mischief in Norse Mythology in my world, although it made me wonder if mother was raised by someone from another world, or is just a coincidence.
Either way though, her number is a literal error sign, why is that?
I ask in a lost and puzzled manner, so many clues and mysteries in one night.
But then again the biggest question of all that I am wondering is the fact if this power is mine or is it the monocle, so to confirm I took it off, and just like I thought the numbers weren't there, so as a way to make sure that this be my power.
I look at Alexander and ask.
"Hey, big bro Alexander."
"Ha. Yeah, Sherlock?"
"I was wondering if I can check out your monocle."
"Ha. Why?"
"I think im finally seeing why you like these things it's classy, and proof of the worth of gentleman as well, I just want to compare yours to mine."
Upon saying this Alexander's eyes lit up, as he grab my hand and said, in an exaggerated fashion.
"My fellow monocle brother have you been enlightened by the glare as I have, these fine art, no these aesthetically built glasses are truly marvelous for having such prestigious and unmatched beauty that can bring out the masculine side of a season and well put together man, class is everything, a man is defined by the glare of their monocle after all."
"Ha... Oh yeah, the glare, is ahh... Hmmm. Yeah, the glare is marvelous indeed, now please show me your monocle big bro."
"Ask no more please be careful with it though."
With that said, Alexander gave me his monocle; which I place to my eye and look at him, and just like I thought this power is undoubtedly mine indeed.
For the mere fact that I was seeing the number on his head the instant I put it on, and it was a different monocle nonetheless.
Right away I took it off and place the monocle I got as a gift from Alexander back on my right eye, and the numbers and names came before me once again.
At this thought, I began to wonder about something, yes I noticed this weird change, ever since I got resurrected by Kthilla, and that was the fact that the new magic I have inherited from her, is all condition-type magic, mixed with bio-type magic, including my unique phantom magic, it as if this new body is living, walking, breathing magic anomaly.
'Well, im not sure if im human anymore, but I guess this is also a new power of mine as well, either way though, I will just ask Kthilla for advice when I go there tonight.'
With that said I thank Alexander as I gave him back his monocle, meanwhile, I lie down on the allowing my consciousness to drift off.
My next stop was the Abyss Dream space.
