Chapter 8 - GRANDWOOD CASTLE, KHAVENA.

ARIELLE;

I awaken and wonder what time it is. How unhappy this day makes me! I stand waiting on my maids but I see none of them. I guess they are too busy to come and aid me so I bathe myself and dress myself and pretty much everything else. I take the liberty to walk down to the dining room which is stacked with various people who are acclaimed as our guests. My eyes befall my future husband. He looks unbothered and cold.

"Dear, you're up early?" my mother asks me.

"I had no more sleep to unravel," I reply.

"Really, please someone aid her to her horse to ride."

"Why?"

"You have to rest the entire day and get married at dusk."

"Why then?"

"Just do as I say from now on. If I call you, come right away. Understood?"

"Yes mother."

I wonder why I am being treated so harshly.

" Oh wait! Please go upstairs to my room for your dress try on. I had forgotten about it."

"Yes mother."

I am accompanied to the Queenly chamber where a line up of dresses in various colors and shades. I see Azriel there seated waiting on me.

"Oh! You're here. Amazing. Let us get started," she says to me.

"Why do I have to do this?" I ask.

"You won't attend your wedding in some random gown will you? You are so damn idiotic Arielle."

"Why? You're just so mean to me."

"There are a lot of things you don't know about men. You are naive and ignorant."

"I know a lot."

"Like?"

"They are like us."

"And?"

I stay silent.

"See. You are nothing. I wish I were the one to escape this place."

"What is it about men that I don't know? Tell me."

"Well, They need a lot of care. And you have to be loyal and submissive to him. Obey him at all times and don't talk back when he talks.Let him do all that he wants, just serve him."

"That sounds boring."

"Plus, you need to provide contact with him."

"How?"

"You have always asked me where you came from?"

"Yes."

"Well, there is...."

"What?"

"This was a mistake. I'm trying to get on your nerves dear."

"You're so mean and cheeky."

"Just pick one gown and let us leave here."

"I will now."

I turn to the gowns and look through the variety of all of them. I notice a red one in silk and chiffon.

"This one will do."

"Okay. Let us go to the garden."
