Chapter 9 - ACROPHYL GARDENS, GRANDWOOD CASTLE;

ARIELLE:

Azriel leads me to the gardens. I am quite anxious about whatever she is about to say to me. We take a seat on the bench and I look straight at her for the explanation to begin.

"So. What is it? What brought us to the gardens?" I ask. I am itching to know what it is. She smiles to herself. She loves to speak languages I can have to learn on and on. So, I am expecting a whole lot of linguistics here.

"In the old days when I was created amongst the Amazons down in Themyscira, we were close to the Gargareans. On a festival in spring, we would cross over to the Gargareans side in Thalaris for a festival of about d'yo mines (two months). I was a chica joven by that time. I didn't know what happened till one day, I was taken to the place. It was so beautiful."

"So what happened there?" I ask.

"Oh mi palabra! It was magical."

"How magical?"

"Dear. As we finished the ceremonials, the Gargareans came to us. I was with Madre at the time, and she handed me to some Adonis named Clastus. He was very handsome and a warrior. It was the most amazing experience ever."

"Explain hermana?"

"I can't hermanita. It's something only, you can experience, with your husband. It's a mutual dance that only the two of can participate in, and indoors."

"A dance? Which one that I have never learnt?"

"einai kati amoibeo. t to biosis. min ansyous." (it's something mutual. you will experience it. don't worry.) If she is saying it in our language, then its serious.

"How will I know if I am ignorant about it?"

"It doesn't need lessons or knowledge its most natural."

"Ah!"

"Lo sabras pronto."("You'll know soon.")

"Dimelo ahora! Me trajiste para enseñarme? So do so."

"It is only he who can teach you. Not I. You just need to be ready for it.You are a lucky catch."

"I am so worried about it."

"About what? There is nothing to be worried about."

"I even do not know his name."

"It's just Caith. He seems tender to you."

"So what?"

"So here he comes now." I look at the walkway and he is actually on his way to where we are standing.

"Por favor no me dejes con el."(" Please don't leave me with him.")

"Porque no eres imbecil. Bye." She actually leaves me with Caith. Mierda(Fuck). I am in a dilemma now. He comes to where I am and looks sternly at me as I look down. I wonder what he is going to say to me now. "Que quiere de mí ahora?"( what does he want from me now?) I ask myself in a mumble.

"Tu madre me envió aquí. Ella dice que deberíamos hablar." ( Your mother sent me here. She said we should talk.) I didn't know that he could speak foreign languages like me. I am startled by his deep euphonious tone. He really sounds different from me. "Esta bien contigo?"(Is it okay with you?)

"Ningun problema."(No problem.) I am actually afraid about what he is going to say to me now. I know nothing about myself nor who my father is. "At Least speak the common tongue now. You should know that now." I am trying to push him off of me.

"Of course. I apologize for the abrupt wedding and engagement without a courtship. It's just that I am a very busy man nowadays."

"What brought you to this island for a wife?" I ask him.

"Because I wanted to," he answers coldly.

"I doubt. For you to come here despite the hardships that Zeus created against finding us, you have a motive."

"A motive to find a wife. That is my destiny, Hennessia."

"Fine. Where are you from?" I say trying to avoid his stare.

"Me. I'm from a far away island, or rather mainland."

"You mean Athens?"

"Not really. I am from another dimension. Another sort of timeline."

"Timeline? Like we are away from the rest of the world?

"Something like that. I'm from Thornvale. We are hidden like here."

"So, I have to travel by boat with you?"

"Yes. Immediately after the wedding, we will set sail for home."

"Can't we stay a little longer?'

"Unfortunately, not."

I frown and sigh. I see a maid come forth.

"Princess, its time for your bath at the temple," she bows.

"Okay. See you later, Prince."
