Chapter 127 - Start of new days 3

Blake sprung out from bed, sweat running down from his face. He sighed, removing the covers from his body and heading towards the bathroom. He let the warm water run down his body, thinking about the dream he had. Getting out of the shower, he put on a white t-shirt and shorts, heading out to the main hall.

The Alderwolf residence was as grand or bourgeois as other places belonging to the family but it had its charm. Its residents were all related to the Main family, distant cousins and obscure relations included. It was currently headed by Keith Alderwolf, brother of Klaus Alderwolf. He was a former prime, having sustained a life threatening injury that put him on an early retirement. He managed the business affairs of the Inquisition though, alongside the Alderwolf family.

It had been months but it seemed like it was just yesterday since he'd returned. He walked through the compound, greeting a few of the residents until he made it to a small tent. A beautiful lady sat down, a book laid in her lap as she flipped through the pages. She turned to Blake with a smile.

"Finally awake, Blake."

"Yeah," Blake said, "Good morning."

"Morning. Keith wanted to see you."

"Okay." Blake said, walking away. The woman was Kilowa Alderwolf, mother of both Keith and Klaus. She had long resigned her position, although she was much healthier than her son. It might not have seemed like it, but she was in her 60s.

Blake entered the house again, climbing down the stairs until he made it into the basement. He didn't bother knocking, entering the room.

The man standing beside a desk had long black hair with a red tint at it ends that covered his eyes. He wore a long robe, his lanky fingers caressing the hair of a child that he carried. He turned in Blake's direction, a small smile on his face.

"Knocking is a formality, you know." Keith said.

"Yeah, yeah." Blake said, sitting down on a chair. "I only came cause Your mom said I should."

"Or did you miss me?"

"No not really."

"Ha." Keith said, sitting down. "Interesting. I see your time iin the inquisition has made you more cocky."

"I was already like this."

"Well it made it worse."

Keith observed Blake for a while. A month ago he wasn't this lively. When he came back you could tell there was a lot on his mind. Who could blame him. Not only did he face a threat that almost took his life, but he had witness death of a friend…or the inability to save one. Yet he managed to remained his sassy self.

"How are the dreams?"

Blake sighed, "Their more vivid this time,"

"Really?"

"Well, it wasn't some random guy dying so…I guess that's a plus…"

The conversation was interrupted by a knock on the door. Keith grinned at Blake and told the indivual to come in. Klaus appeared, dressed in his Inquisitor uniform.

"Always the busy man, aren't you?" Keith asked.

"Daemons don't have a day off, brother."

"But you do."

"Whatever. That's not why I'm here."

"Hi dad." Blake said. Klaus turned to him, a bit surprised that he was there.

"Hi."

"What is it." Keith asked.

"I run into Edward Lionharte."

"Oh no, not this again."

"Seems like I don't need to inform you then."

"Why what's the issue." Blake asked.

"Edward is trying to implement a new policy and he needs Keith's approval. Keith's been avoiding him."

"I don't wanna go. Can't I spend time with my daughter?"

"Sorry, but I didn't tell you to be head."

"Oh wow, as if someone would have gone in and taking my place."

Klaus smiled.

"Now that he's told you there's no way I can avoid it. At first he sent messages and letters but I could pretend to have not seen them."

"Why not just go." Blake asked.

"Because I don't like Edward. He's too cold and serious all the time. Talk about a family that lierally has the symbol of the sun as their crest." Keith stood up, walking towards the door. "I'll be taking by leave. What would the two of you be doing today."

"Nothing." Klaus and Blake replied.

"My goodness. You really are father and son. Why don't you take my daughter out would you."

"Why?' Klaus asked.

"I was supposed to but since someone decided to meet Edward, I can't do that. So off to it." Keith said, leaving muttering under his breath about Edward.

"Where the hell am I supposed to send a kid for fun."

"A playground?"

"No, she's too young. I only sent you there when you were nine."

"Then lets just go to the mall or something."

"Yeah, yeah."

The black door opened, as three individuals stepped out. The First was in lead, followed by Joseph Bayt'hoven and Gerald Tason, all in the long white hoods with the symbol of a black anchor on the side.

"Inquisition HQ." Gerald said, "A tower."

"Wonder how much money was pumped into just to build it." Joseph said

"On the contrary, they never did build it."

"Huh?"

"Nobody remembers, but it always been here."

"Interesting."

The First observed the tower for a while, looking round at the rocky plateau that surrounded the tower which sat dead center in a valley.

"Shall we go, then." The First said.
