Chereads / Way of The Panther / Chapter 38 - The Plan Worked

Chapter 38 - The Plan Worked

Behind Freda, stood private security guards in black uniformed holding submachine rifles.

our boat was the first to dock at the base of the stairs. I went into check on Diana,

she was still shivering feverishly.

"sorry Diana, you warned me about your condition but I didn't listen. We have arrived." "arrived where?" she queried sickly.

"come here, I will carry you up." she was about to resist but I scoop her up from the bed into my arms. She wrapped her arms round my neck, looked up at me and smiled weakly.

momma grin as I drew closer to her up the stairs and said;

"been expecting you spooky, why didn't you contact me earlier my boy. Come here now…. how come seeing you every time never seizes to bring me happiness."

"it's a mutual feeling mama," . I walked passed her into the spacious interior of the yatch.

a guard opened a private door leading to a lavished bed chamber. I lowed Diana gently on to the cozy bed Momma was right behind me.

"the doc will come check her out right away," momma said, and added "come with me."

I parted Diana on the cheek with a kiss and she look at me weakly and said; "you made a big mistake kuga."

"you are welcome dear, do get better okay, I will be right back" I replied and walked out, pretending I didn't hear what she said.

Diana will call her boss immiaditly to update him on the new development and give him our location. And that is exactly how wanted this to play out….

Sky and five of his men were right behind Kate and Ruby on the landing as they approached the glass entrance leading to the wide interior parlor, where I now sat with momma.

"I am sorry about you and Ziggy." "me too mama. Well, too bad he chooses the wrong side." I said acting aloof.

Momma didn't act her usual self, and I know why, she is not the type to fake really intense emotions.

"everything alright?".

"no spooky, this is not alright, not until those girls get to their father.

The laws are different here spooky."

"how different momma?"

"if you wanna walk outta here alive, I advise you drop your inquisitive bossy attitude." She said seriously barely in a whisper.

Deep beneath that seriousness was a pang of guilt.

I wouldn't have it any other way…. Only I can betray myself, for to give that power to anyone other than myself wreaks death. The cruelest kind I did be inflicting upon myself.

Kate avoided eye contact with me, and I did the same. On the inside I was raging like a dragon just by having her at such close proximity.

I had to keep my anger under control. the woman had manipulated me to the point where my trust for another human being wavers.

Still I wanted to believe she had good motives for what she did or didn't do.

For Ruby, I didn't want to even acknowledge her presence. Thinking about her right here, right now will be debilitating to the presents of mind I needed in this moment.

this will soon go down.

I had to reach out to momma in secret to make this meeting possible, not because I don't trust Diana, but because I wanted a chaos I can control in case there is one.

Sky was close by, with his five-man team at strategic positions inside, fifteen slingers on the landing on ready for combat. Thirty men surrounding the yatch, ten in each boat.

"you took unnecessary precautions spooky. You are forgetting we owned this ocean," momma said mockingly.

"I know momma, let's just say I am ready to die fighting."

"don't speak such none sense my boy, at least not here," she warned easily and picked at the snacks in front of her on the table.

she pressed one finger on her left ear and nodded, "alright, on our way Sir."

She looked at me afterwards and asked, "are you ready for this?".

"yeah". "okay, let's go."

"your men must stay behind." I nodded in response, for I saw this coming as well.

I gave sky one last look before allowing myself into a private door where Ruby and kate were now ushered into, followed by momma and me.

Two guards walked right behind in the narrow corridor. We reach a staircase going up. another security was there to lead us up the whining stairs.

If I could gauge correctly, we were now on the five floor of the yatch.

We were all searched thoroughly for concealed weapons, before the door opened to a most heavenly scene I didn't expect on top of a yatch.

There was a swimming pool, a garden, there were people of different racial background having a good time, sun bathing and all.

But what caught my attention was the men under the Pegula shade smoking Cubans, chattering and laughing amiably.

And in that instant I knew I had walked into a trap as I locked eyes with Felix. And in that very moment I knew my plan had worked.
