Chapter 32 - Malice Of One Man

"I need you to stormed safari Kogna, see what you could find, we could alter your look somewhat".

"no amount of alteration will change Kogna." Diana's voice echoed from the kitchen doorway with a tray of hot spicy aromatic delicacies; yarm balls, steak, salad, fried chicken....

my stomach rambled at the pleasant sight.

"I totally agreed, ma'am," Kogna replied and asked forthrightly, "you want me to spy on Ziggy? you must be out of your mind Spooky!!

"I still find it hard to believe the man tried to kill me over ownership of a company, perhaps its more than that; maybe I did wrong him in a way Im not aware of, the man is my brother."

"not anymore kuga. Nail that in the psyche. its about time you know the kind of wolves you are dealing with. The brother you are talking about is long gone."

"sorry spooky, but I think she right." "what is your problem kogna!!, do you have to agree with everything she says."

"hell yah spooky, not if I found her in the right…

I have been meaning to tell that, but a brother cant snitch on another bother right in the face., but if I see the protruding nail on the man's treachery, I will pound it all the way in…".

This got diana laughing....

"take your time with that kogna, no one here to save you if you choke on that," I warned as kogna stuff himself with yam balls greedily.

"aint my fault spooky, the demm food taste so good," he said grudgingly with his mouth full.

"thanks for the compliment kogna, glad you are enjoying it more than someone here,". Diana smiled and taunts.

"I am actually having a great time Diana, it taste great, and I want to take my time with each bite,". the woman rewarded me a blush.

"Any of them boys see me at safari, I am a dead man."

"we are already dead men kogna,."

"I understand you Kogna, if you get in trouble with any of those boy tell them you are in my team. the hit at Kate's was validated by the malice of one man, Felix. and he did want you gone as much as he wanted the women."

"oh, the order didn't come from the top?". "no Kuga, that was Felix doing."

"the whole thing is twisted kuga. How well do you know the two sisters?".

"sisters? What do you mean lady!!?"

"oh, you didn't know, and kogna never hit on it?".

"I don't know a demm thing lady, and if I did, its none of my demm business," kogna replied sharply

"so you knew they were not mother and child, but sisters, yet you never say a thing, kogna."

"Screw you with the needle spooky. hell! no one say a thing about them being mother and child, you have your own demm conclusions to blame man."

"damn, why am I always the last to know?…".

I grabbed Kogna by the throat. he keeps messing with me.

"I was the only one with a tracking device on me, why?".

"and how can he answer you from all that constriction on his throat?", Diana asked pleadingly, robbing a palm on my shoulders.

"and how can I believe anything he says now?", I asked and squeeze more… "stop this now, you're bleeding from the bicep wound…" Diana warned.

Exhausted after the spontaneous exertion and bleeding, I found my eyes turning dizzy

, "what is happening to me?" I head myself asked.

"you lose a lot of blood yesterday, and can't afford to lose any more blood, you supposed to be on bed now," Diana said softly.

"no not until, I know this truth. Kogna, Diana tell me all that I need to know…" I heard myself said drowsily, placing my head on the dining table.

If the two people did say anything, I wouldn't have known, because I was back into the womb of eternal darkness, the only place I found myself welcomed, the only place where there are no lies, fears, illusions, nor the burden of living.

Only silence, dark silence, dark stillness where only silence moves. This is the only place I can called home, this is the only place I wanted to belong; I was sobbing in my sleep or dream, I didn't know which…

"it's okay Yakim, it's just a dream, go to sleep now, and don't worry, I will be here to keep the nightmares away,"

I jeard. voice whisper in the darkness. the voice wasn't the voice of Grandma Makilla, it is the voice of Diana.

"why is waking up so painful?", I muttered in discomfort before popping one eye open to the sunny morning or noon, I couldn't tell on the cozy white sheets.

"it means you are really living Kuga, without this wakeful pain, life is worthless…".

"here is a thing or about men the verge of emotional havoc and monumental physical agony?"

"aha, what about them?". "you don't philosophize around them?".

"and why is that Kuga?".

"it may cause them to flipped over the edge and never returned Diana."

This reply got the woman giggling across the spacious lavish bedroom, all white and glassy.

"welcome back to the land of the living Kuga, why not chill out in the Jacuzzi for a while, I prepared it ready for you, it surely will do you some good."

"thank you Diana, what says the time?". "it's almost nine". "oh, I will say salat before the Jacuzzi."

"alright, suit yourself, I am in the kitchen if you need me." "thank you Diana".

Strenuously, I performed ablution and sat on a comfortable chair to say my late fajr salat meditatively.

As promised, the Jacuzzi was a treat. I luxuriate in it with my eyes close, resting my head on the soft waterproof pillow on the head resting place.

had it not been the discomfort of the injuries, and Diana calling from the kitchen for a late breakfast, I would have stayed there for a long while.

For some reason, in there my mind stopped moving and making unnecessary connections.

Perhaps I am not ready for the truth that awaits me about Kate and Ruby, more importantly Ruby. I didn't want to know, the mysteries around those two women, now wearies me more than death.

"come here let me dress up those wounds and bind you up afresh." Diana said and sat beside me by the bed with a first aid kit. The scene brought back memories with Ruby in her room.

"Kogna?" I asked, knowing the answer. "gone" she replied and got to work, nimble and tidy with the scissors in her delicate fingers.

"now come here, let me help you up into the kitchen dinning where I plan to stuff you full," she said joyfully. "

"planning to soften me in pump for the kill?"

"how do you know, that is the intention, by the time I am through with you; you will bloat like a pregnant hippo," she said, chuckling as I follow her into the garden.
