'Get the hell out of my house' a middle age lady pushed the teenage blonde to the ground and then used her shoes to hit her.
'Aunt please, I am sorry' Chloe kept pleading and she stared at the girl who stood beside her aunt, it was Amber…her cousin, she had a huge smile and enjoyed the show.
'Why do you guys hate me so much?' Chloe cried out as they both burst out in laughter.
'Because you are a prostitute's daughter and you don't deserve happiness' Amber said mockingly.
'And you are also a murderer' her aunt said and Chloe could see the amount of hate displaying on her face.
'Chloe Chloe'
Chloe jumped up on her bed and stared around, it was all just a nightmare.
Her grandma sat on her wheel chair and stared at her worried.
'You had a nightmare?' she asked and Chloe nodded before walking towards her grandma.
'Mami good morning…thanks for waking me up' she smiled at her grandma who always had her back, her grandma was her life.
'Don't thank me, you are late for your school admission'
Chloe's eyes widened in shock as she stared at the clock.
'Geez' she quickly grabbed her towel and ran to the bathroom.
After some minutes she rushed to her wardrobe and took a simple gown and flat heels before walking to her closet.
When she was done, she quickly picked her file and ran to the sitting room where she met her aunt and cousin having breakfast.
'Chloe you leave for school without doing any morning chores?' her aunt asked angrily.
'Let her go she is late' Mami butted in and Chloe smiled before running out,
The rain was drizzling as she took a cab to the city university.
Later she arrived at school and it was now raining heavily, the few students on campus ran in search of shelter, Chloe held a folder and protected it from the rain before running to an edge.
She was completely drenched in water but she sighed in relief seeing that her folder was untouched.
'What a great start' she rolled her eyes frustrated.
'Use this' a voice echoed from beside and she turned to see a lady handing her a tissue.
'Thanks' said Chloe, she carefully wiped her face and hands before returning the tissue.
'You can keep it, I am Anne' the lady said with a smile, she looked so pretty with her shoulder level black hair and had a straight gown with a heavy jacket.
'Chloe' she smiled as well.
'So are you here for admission?' Anne asked when she noticed the folder Chloe had.
'Yes, my first year' she replied.
'Same here, I am ready to embrace university life with my whole vibe' Anne said and her tone was filled with excitement.
Few minutes later the rain stopped and they both walked to the office and submitted their documents, Chloe turned to leave when Anne ran towards her.
'You are leaving without me?' Anne pouted and Chloe was confused, she forgot she indeed made a friend today.
'Sorry I have something to do home' she said and Anne nodded.
'Let's at least walk to the gate together' Anne held her hands and pulled her towards the gate, Chloe went to stop a cab when Anne drove her car towards her.
'I may as well give you a ride' she smiled and Chloe nodded nervously.
The drive was silent with Chloe instructing Anne on which path to take, finally they stopped in front of the mansion.
'Chloe Parker?' she asked and Chloe nodded.
'So you're a rich spoilt brat, I didn't get that vibes from you'
'Guess I am just living in my own world' Chloe said and walked down.
'By the way I am Anne Francoise' Anne said and Chloe's jaws fell in shock.
'You are a Francoise? Guess you were just being modest right now' she said with a smile.
In city A there are 5 influential families and the Francoise are the second most influential family, they own the biggest malls and supermarkets in the country while the Parker family was third in rank…they own the biggest hospitals and medical centers.
She handed her phone to Chloe who was confused on what to do.
'Your contact' she said and Chloe nodded before typing it in then handed her phone.
'Thanks for the ride Anne' she waved at her, Anne smiled and blew her a kiss before driving away.
'Crazy girl' she smiled and got in when she spotted her aunt at the window peeking outside.
She decided to ignore her and leave but it was impossible.
'Chloe Parker come here,' her aunt said in a stern voice.
'Who dropped you off?' Mara asked and Chloe felt irritated.
'A friend' she replied.
'Why am I not surprised? First day of school and someone drops you home…the apple really doesn't fall far from its tree' she said with a smile and tears welled up in Chloe's eyes, her mom was a prostitute she gets that but why rub it on her face every time.
'Mara' a voice scolded from upstairs.
'Don't talk to my niece that way,' the deep voice scolded me. I felt really happy and safe when I saw my uncle approach us.
'What did I say to her? Am I always considered the villain' Aunt Mara scolded and left.
'Are you done parking already?' Uncle asked and I was confused.
'Parking?' I asked and he smiled.
'Guess your grandma didn't mention, but she got you an apartment near the school' he said and I was so excited, finally I will be free from my aunt and cousin's hate.
But I will miss my uncle and grandma, especially my favorite cousin Jim.
'And also, has Jim called or texted you?' he asked in a worried tone and I nodded negatively, that's so unlike Jim, he always calls me once in a week but it's been two weeks and still no call from him.
'I will go see grandma now' I said and went upstairs and at the same time dialed Jim's number which was unreachable.
'Mami' I ran to help my grandma get on her wheelchair when I saw her struggling.
'My Nana you are back' she smiled at me, grandma always calls me Nana instead of Chloe.
'Mami have you taken your pills?' I asked and gave her a glass of water.
My grandma is my mom as well as my dad. If an award of best parents should be given then I will give that to my grandma for raising me so well.
'School resumes soon right?' she asked and I nodded before hugging her.
'In two days' I said and she caressed my hair.
'You have grown so much, look at you fulfilling your dreams soon, Mami is so proud' she said and I felt emotional…I couldn't had done it without her, I know my dream isn't special but she helped me get to this point and as a year passes by I get scared coz it reduces her life span.
'If a thousand tears could keep you close to me forever then I will never stop crying' I cited and she laughed out loud.
'You will be a great writer Nana' she said and I spent some time with her before returning to my room.
