REGAL'S POV:
I could feel the rays of the sun penetrate into my skin. I knew it was morning already. I got up from the couch, stretched my body before I went downstairs. I dragged myself to the living room to check if dad was there because we had some unfinished business we had to settle this morning. Unfortunately, he wasn't in the living room. As I turned to leave, the door bell rang and I went to open up for who was at the door. It was Mr Rogers, a family friend. We exchanged pleasantries then he requested to see my dad. I went to dad's room, he was up already so I told him he Mr Rogers was waiting to see him. We headed to the living room together, I went into the kitchen to fix something to eat while dad and Mr Rogers left for dad's personal chambers. I ate my breakfast in the kitchen but then I remembered I had to give the young girl I interviewed a call. I ate in a rush then I dashed out from the kitchen. Mom saw I was in a rush so she didn't bother to call me. I had my bath and got ready in five minutes. I grabbed my car keys and zoomed off to work.
I met Mr Mave in the office reception so I told him to quickly bring all the credentials that were submitted to him the day before. I went straight into my office to get some documents signed. Mr Mave came in with two files which I guess contains the credentials. I told him to drop it on the table. I didn't want him to suspect anything. Immediately he left, I started searching. I searched the first file but the young lady's credentials wasn't there so I opened the second file and I saw her photograph attached to her CV then I knew that was it and I started reviewing it. "Mia Colton" I said her name aloud. She had a nice name for real. I searched if she dropped her phone number and there it was. I picked up my phone and called her.

MIA'S POV:
I turned to the other side of the bed. I wasn't ready to get out of bed. "Beep beep" I heard my phone ring. I picked the call and I heard a male's voice. "Hello Miss Mia Colton" the man said with a gentle voice. "Good morning sir, please who's this" I asked politely. "This is Regal Bryson, CEO of Luckery Corporation", as soon as I heard that, I immediately sat upright. "You came for the interview the other day and I guaranteed you I was gonna call you to start soon. Without wasting much of your time, you got the job, you can resume work tomorrow" he briefly said. "Okay, thank you very much sir" I said trying not to scream. I was so excited, I ran to mom's room to inform her about it and she was also very happy. We both danced until we got tired. My younger brother, Jace, was also happy but confused because he didn't know why we were so excited. I picked up my phone and called Liam. She screamed so loud when I broke the news to her. "Congratulations girl. This is the best news of the year. I'm coming to your house right away, we need to celebrate this" Liam said as she immediately hung up. I was so excited, I started searching for the right clothes to wear the next day. "I have to look good tomorrow" I smiled while still searching. I heard a knock on the door. It was Liam of course, she brought some refreshments. I had to help carry some into the house. "That was fast Liam" I wasn't expecting her so soon. We enjoyed ourselves that night. I have a happy family and a supportive best friend and now I've got a new job. So far so good everything is going on well. Liam didn't stay long because she had to take care of somethings. I ironed my dress and neatly hung it inside my wardrobe. I couldn't wait for the next day. I decided to sleep early so as to avoid being late in the morning. I kept rolling and rolling on my bed, I was too excited to sleep. I picked up a book and started reading until I slept off.
I woke up so energetic and refreshed. I went to the kitchen make breakfast and I also did all the house chores. After eating, I went to my mom's room and we conversed for a while before I went to prepare for work. I had my bath and I made sure I didn't have a heavy makeup on. I walked from my house to the bus station to board a bus. I had to wait for over fifteen minutes for the next bus to arrive. Finally, a bus came and we zoomed off. I got to work early, we were only four in the office. The workers I met there received me with open arms, they were nice to me. One of them showed me to my desk and it was very close to the CEO's office. I was immediately nervous when I saw this but I had calmed myself down. It seemed since the previous secretary left, they didn't bother to clean it up.The desk was a bit dusty but I made sure I cleaned it all up before Mr Regal, the boss, comes to work. I started setting up my table and I arranged the files neatly. Workers had started trooping in and I imagined how much the company makes in a month to be able to pay these many workers. I overheard some female workers saying how they were in love with the boss and how they intend to seduce him then lure him to bed to sleep with them. I was so irritated and angry after hearing this, I wanted to beat them up so bad but I maintained my calm. I was so surprised at my actions. "Why would I be angry because of what they said about the boss ?" I questioned myself. This was strange but I had to let that off my mind to concentrate on my job.
