"Fuck!" he yelled as he was yanked high in the air, hanging from his ankle.
"Master!" Akaihana yelled as well, reaching for her weapon that wasn't there while she was wearing her maid's dress.
Everyone else in the green house was now looking towards the center where the Sqenis guy trap had fully awoken. Its tendril like vines slithered about and began to snatch up more of the guests.
"Barric! I told you it was right behind you! How the hell did you let it get you?!" Layla yelled, not noticing the vine that was sneaking right up on her as well. It leapt up and wrapped itself around her waist, lifting her into the air as her new Mistress Lucy gasped.
"Godsdamnit!" the elf cursed as she was scooped away as well.
Another vine reached out at the rabbit maid, but she was quickly scooped away by her wolf Master.
"Avoid this, thing, go get whatever you need to cook with while the rest are distracted," he told his maid, returning her back to her feet gently.
"Yes Master!" she said simply, hopping off to follow his plan, as he began to take some guarded steps back.
Sylas narrowed his eyes as he noticed the plan of the Demi human pair and moved to relay the same idea to Quinn, though the cat girl was missing.
"Sylas! Help!" she yelled, having already been grabbed by the plant and hanging upside down, holding her dress to keep it from flopping down.
Sylas sighed, disappointed, but not surprised.
Canglo, the green dragon maid laughed as the others were pulled up and away by the vines.
"Look at the fools dangle Mistress!" she laughed as something tickled her tail. She assumed it was her Mistress, but her laughing came to a quick halt when she realized her Mistress was in front of her.
"Oh shi-" she was cut off as she was the next one to be tugged away by a vine.
Skippy the mouse kid behind her Master as the rest were tugged away by the odd plant.
"M-master! It's scary!" she yelled, cowering behind him.
"It's alright darling, go, find something to cook and I'll-" he was cut off as a vine wrapped around his chest and quickly yanked him away just like the rest.
"Master!" she screamed, reaching out as he was raised high in the green house. He grunted and struggled against the vine, though it was far stronger than him.
"Skippy! Don't worry about me! Just go! Go win!" he encouraged her, as the vine tossed him around.
"Just hang in there Layla!" Lucy yelled, producing a book and cracking it open.
"Now is not the time to be making jokes, Mistress!" Layla yelled back, the vine slinging her about.
"It wasn't my intention!" she replied, flipping through the book quickly to finally land on the page she was looking for.
She raised her right hand and snapped her fingers.
"Ignis!" she said, with a commanding voice and suddenly she was holding a fireball in the palm of her hand.
Though before Lucy could do anything, the door to the kitchen opened and Momo peaked back in for a moment.
"Hey there! I hope everyone is having fun! But I forgot to mention, this garden is a carefully curated collection of rare plants and our Master would appreciate no harm coming to any of them. So feel free to save your maid or Master, but please do so without harming the guy trap, or you will be eliminated." she told them calmly, before closing the door once again.
"Seriously?" Layla yelled, being tossed around.
"Damn..." Lucy swore to herself as the fireball dissipated and she began to flip through her book quickly.
"Y-yes Master!" Skippy the mouse replied as she slowly backed away from the guy trap and scurried off to find something to cook.
"We can't hurt this thing? Where's the fun in that!?" Hana yelled as she looked the plant up and down and counted its tendrils, only one was free, the rest held the guests that were foolish enough to get caught, including her Master. She began to come up with a plan and charged forward straight at the guy trap.
"Hana! What are you doing!?" Barric yelled.
"I'm not doing this without you!" she told him, getting close to its stalk now and leaping at it. With a mighty jump she landed about halfway up the plant and grabbed hold of it to begin climbing his purple stalk.
Sylas watched, though he had a plan of his own.
Soon enough, hana made it to the spit just below the bulb and hooked her hand in its lip. She braced her feet on the side of it's stalk and watched as her Master was tossed about. She timed it all just right and leaped from the stalk straight at Barric!
"I gotcha!" she roar, flying towards him with her hands outstretched. Though just before she could reach her Master she stopped suddenly as she was caught in midair. The one free vine that was on the opposite side of the plant had grasped her at just the last moment and caught her just short of her Master.
Barric reached out to her, and she reached out, their fingers so close as the plant carried them away from each other.
"Master!" she yelled again, though it was too late.
Meanwhile, Sylas watched patiently as it seemed his plan was working out just as he imagined.
"Sylas! Are you gonna save me or not?!" Quinn screamed, pounding her little fist on the vine that held her.
Sylas rolled his eyes and waited for his moment. Once Hana was caught by the last free vine he knew he was clear. He lept into action just as she did, sprinting at the massive plant and leaping up its stalk. He made it a bit higher than Hana did and began to climb up just the way she did as well. He watched Quinn get shook around as he waited for his time to leap. He wouldn't make the same mistake as Hana, though this was going to be a bit harder since he wasn't allowed to just cut the vine off.
Once the vine holding Quinn came a bit closer, he leapt straight for it! He shot off like a demon rocket and grew so close, but at the last moment, the vine pulled Quinn up and whipped the demon away, sending him hurtling towards the ground.
"Fuck!" he cursed, as he was whipped away from the cat girl, though he was able to recover and land with a graceful roll.
The door leading to the kitchen cracked open once again and Momo the goblin maid leaned in.
"Oh and by the way, there is only one thing that will get the guy trap to let you go! I'm sure you can guess what it is!" she teased, as the rabbit maid and the wolf Master dashed past her. She closed the door once again to leave them to their game.
Just as she closed the door, the Sqenis guy trap began to settle. It stopped tossing all of its newly acquired friends around and instead its vines hung still. Its bulb began to twitch and make wet fleshy sounds as something began to emerge from it. More tentacles.
"Oh shit! Oh shit! Mistress! Help! There's more!" Canglo the green dragon maid shouted, wiggling about.
Nushi, her Mistress, had produced a few throwing knives, but hesitated as they informed they could not harm the plant.
"Just a moment darling, I'll think of something!" Nushi promised her, looking around at the others.
Sylas stood there simply watching with his hand on his chin as the new tentacle vines began to reach out towards it's captured guests.
"How can you just stand there?!" Nushi yelled at the demon.
"Yea Sy! Why're you just standing there?!" Quinn agreed.
"Because I believe we're not supposed to do anything, in fact, I think you should just relax Quinn," Sylas said, nonchalantly.
