"What should we do then?" Vex asked, crossing his arms and looking at me expectantly. "Open the gates and let them in," I said firmly. "You want us to let them in? We don't even know that guy and girl besides Souline and Alliana," Denzel objected, his voice full of concern. "We can't leave them out there because they might call the cops," I explained, trying to keep my voice steady. "Denzel, stop being such a pussy," Vex added, clearly irritated.
"Shut the fuck up, Vex," Denzel shot back as he walked into the living room. I pressed the button labeled "OPEN" to allow the gates to swing open. From the security monitor, I saw them walking in our direction. They approached the door, and the guy knocked. "Vex, open the door," I instructed. Vex sighed but went to the door and pulled it open.
