This noise jolted me awake, my heart racing as I shot upright in bed. My eyes snapped open, and I spun around to find Carlos standing at my door, holding two papers in his hand. "What the hell do you want—?"
"AJ and Montero are the jurors for my case," Carlos said. "What do you mean, 'your case'? There are a lot of cases going on in Rome. How do you know AJ and Montero were chosen for yours?" I asked, folding my arms across my chest. "It's mine because that's what I was told. My trial is in two weeks," Carlos said.
