Lin Ye knew why her smile was sad.
Arrhythmias were irregular heartbeats. One's heart could either beat too fast or too slow which is common but with arrhythmia, it was the extremes of these two odds.
In the case of Qin Lin, her case could be the worst scenario Lin Ye had ever seen. She even needed a pacemaker because her heart was beating way too slowly.
Qin Lin was young and vibrant and Lin Ye imagined the pain she must have been through. Her arrhythmia was characterized by frequent dizziness and many fainting episodes.
Lin Ye smiled, "How long has it been since you had the pacemaker on?"
Qin Lin fixed the lapels of her shirt, "It has been about two years now."
Lin Ye thought for a few seconds. It was very unusual for pacemakers to fail unless there was a problem with the initial surgery or if Qin Lin was allergic to some of the materials used to make them.
