Zagreus took in the sight of the grand palace before him. It was far bigger and more imposing than the one he had last seen Alessia in, towering over him and bristling with heavily armed guards.
Zagreus looked at Cronus' palace, its walls made of obsidian and guarded by creatures from the underworld. He realized he had grossly underestimated the power of Cronus; it seemed like overnight, the tyrant had created an entire army to follow him and do his bidding. The sheer magnitude of what Cronus could build and destroy was overwhelming.
Zagreus turned and beckoned Gabriel and Selene to follow him, his face grim. Their feet pounded the ground as they raced towards the gate, Zagreus's sword held high before him. He aimed the necks of the two guards first, aiming for a quick kill.
