He takes a long time to look at her; she is a few years younger than him.
Her long, soft waves of dark brown hair cascaded over her pale face and down onto her dark blue top. Her tall figure glimmered with a certain grace among the darkness in the night sky that seemed to outline her presence ever so faintly.
Gabriel tried not to become too entranced by this beautiful creature before him as he looked away for a moment. Selene noticed his gaze lingering but decided it wasn't worth commenting on. She silently continued what she was working on in her notebook, drawing something inspired by nature around them while Gabriel stood to watch at their tower lookout post, watching for any sign of danger near or approaching their fort grounds.
