The swirl of memories died down for both Myranda and Metas and now in the still of darkness they stood across from one another with faces both filled with pain.
No sound left them as they quickly came towards one another, each with open arms.
Metas picked Myranda up like a treasured teddy bear as his arms squeezed around her to comfort her (and also himself).
Myranda had never hugged anyone as hard as she was currently doing to Metas. Once she met his chest, she wrapped her arms around his neck since it was the only place she could properly hold him in return.
They melted into one another as each of their bodies seemed to shift into that of pure white and gold, and the entire world was a blinding light for a brief second. Then the light faded, and they both could see through the same eyes in the form of a black wolf filled with stars. It was as though the coat of the ethereal being was cut from the cloth of the night sky itself, and its four eyes mimicked Meta's gold, and Myranda's white and yellow.
"Yes, yes! That's it!" Jhinto cheered and threw his hands up in the air far too excitedly for a male of his age. Even in the twilight of his life, the teacher was still very happy to see his students succeed.
"You've done it, you've become the Divine Wolf. The destined rulers of the skies when the time comes." He went on with praise.
"I need you to hold this form for as long as you can, and once you cannot hold onto one another any longer - let go and rest. We have much more work to do when you wake." The mage went on with a light voice filled with cheer as he shuffled past them and towards the exit of the 'room' they were in.
"Goddesses be praised!" He shouted from down the hallway so loudly they could hear it echo.
In unison, they felt the same emotion of pride and accomplishment.
More importantly, though - they finally both felt complete.
