Metas was relieved and revved up when his pack arrived. Lara looked stunning as always, Gerald was beaming, Joss looked thoughtful and serious, and Jyriah had a face of bright determination.
"Thank you for coming. Are you all ready?" Metas asked calmly. He had to be 'still' in order to keep his head in the proper space.
"Yes - but just in case, we should make sure we know what we're doing," Joss reminded.
"Lara, with her excellent acting, and fantastic looks will be the first barrier of protection: Distracting Silas. Gerald, you and I are to take Metas down to the proper place - I deliver him safely, and you guard him. My sweet, handsome mate - you're on Myranda duty. My Alpha, you are just to be yourself. There are many excited to hear what you have to say, so expect a large crowd" he said with accuracy and grace.
Metas made a note that if someone gave him a chance, Joss would be an excellent teacher. He'd file that away under suggestions to reward him for his loyalty.
"I'm going to annoy my little sister so much, and it's the best job I've ever had," Jyriah said with a happy, dream-like sound.
"You already do it for free - and don't be mean," Joss reminded.
"I echo his sentiments. Do not hurt Myranda, or I may go for your eye again," Metas said with deathly warning. It came out far more serious than anyone expected.
"You've got it. Minimal annoyance," Jyriah conceded and dropped the subject before he upset his sister's mate again.
"Thank you. She's under enough heavy emotions as it is. Do something she likes with her - something that makes her happy," Metas suggested, and softened his voice as he thought of Myranda's pretty face, beautiful soul, and powerful 'aura'.
"I will do that. I've got a perfect plan now that you've mentioned that. Stop stalling, though - let's go. Your audience won't wait forever, and we've delayed enough. Let's go show your people who you are, Alpha King. We're all behind you," Jyriah said proudly - but with urgency. He had never been a patient person, and he never would be.
"We finish what we started, and we don't give up, agreed?" Metas stated more than he asked.
Everyone nodded and agreed in a silent pact and understanding that their goal was success, or death.
