Things got tense quickly.
Pei Xingcheng's face darkened. There was a wounded woman in his arms who was in immediate need of rescue, yet, these paparazzi and reporters were surrounding him. His anger rose because of their unprofessional and zero moral ethics.
Just when it seemed like he was about to explode, Tang Qin, his manager, stepped in. "You leave quickly. I will handle this," he instructed while eyeing the paparazzi with complete seriousness.
He ordered bodyguards to clear a path, allowing Pei Xingcheng to move quickly toward his car without anyone getting hurt. The bodyguards quickly jumped into action. Pei Xingcheng rushed to put Lu Sisi into the back of the car, ignoring the yelling questions from the reporters.
But as he turned to get into the car himself, he couldn't help but look back. He wondered where Miss Ghost was. She hadn't come to see him, even with all the commotion going on. Why?
Was she okay?
Where was she?
