Chereads / LUCKY AND HERO: God of System / Chapter 105 - Upgrading

Chapter 105 - Upgrading

"I'm out!"

[Master! I've finally can reach you!] A familiar gleeful voice of Sanctuary immediately welcomed Caelus as he stepped outside the Hidden Zone. He noticed how the usual Sanctuary who can be considered as A.I. made grammatical errors.

Before he could say anything, another familiar robotic female voice appeared inside his head.

"Hah! It feels rewarding…" He now knew why the original Sho was so addicted to games. It was inevitable knowing that you would get a promising reward after completing tasks that looked almost impossible. Even without looking at the rewards, he just felt refreshed after completing an almost impossible task.

It felt like he had created a miracle.

Of course, that's just his ego talking.

He shifted his gaze at The Prophet who remained not moving.

"I wonder what your secrets are. What do you have against me? What did you see in me that made you look like that?"

He sighed. He remembered how The Prophet seemed to have lost sanity after looking into him or his future. He even knew that he was walking Sho's path instead of his own path.

However, the person who can answer it, The Prophet, still didn't move.

"I can't leave him here. Sanctuary calculate a path that would be the fastest for us to reach the Shelter, please."

[Understood, Master. We're looking forward to your arrival.]

"I'm looking forward to it too. Ah, wait, don't tell anyone I'm arriving. I want to look around at the shelter without them changing anything. It's been one month so I bet a lot of things have changed."

He immediately carried The Prophet on his back and traveled towards the map that Sanctuary made.

He was actually surprised by how his body further evolved. He was too focused on the Quest that he didn't think of anything else.

*Now that I'm out, I should look at my Character Information.*

Caelus looked at his Information and couldn't help but notice three of his stats went up once more.

At first, he thought it was because of his Qi cultivation, but he opposed the idea seeing how the stats that went up were Intelligence, Wisdom and Stamina.

*Did Wisdom and Intelligence go up because of the knowledge I gained from the Wandering Souls?*

He was shocked by the idea itself. If it was true, then it was a game changer! It meant that the more they gained knowledge, the more their Wisdom would go up too!

*Was this related to the Lost Art that could increase stats without using God Points?*

But all he had was a hunch. He didn't have solid evidence. Even his increase in stats was just a guess.

*There's also the Stamina… I can say that I felt it. How I was doing better as I kept practicing my Qi. With the breathing techniques I've done, the efficiency of my energy skyrocketed. It's an unexpected result but I can only agree on how the System noticed these changes and updated my Stamina.*

"Sanctuary, take note of my Character Information from now on."

[Hold on a second, Master. I'm not sure if I'm able to do that.]

"Hm? It's not possible?"

[I'm not sure. Let me analyze it so that I'll know what to do.]

"Take your time, I'm still far away from the Shelter, anyway. For now, I think I need to upgrade my stats."

As he said that, he used his Qi Aura Cloak and started to move forward swiftly. The Prophet in his back was like a lifeless stone unaffected with his speed.

*Put 1 point into my Luck stats.*

*Yes.*

*Okay, I've finally upgraded my Stat point. It has been so long.*

He just realized how far he was left behind. Although he was upgrading his stats manually, he still couldn't catch up with Hikari, Gouki or Asahi. All of them were already Gold Rank and above.

Even with his natural stats upgrades, it was not enough to catch up with them. He really needed to use GP to rank up.

*Next, put 4 points on Strength.*

*Continue.*

*Next, put 6 points on Agility, 10 points on Dexterity, 8 points on Accuracy.*

*Hm? This was what Hikari said would be available at Silver Rank. And at Gold Rank we would be eligible to use Blackmarket which was interracial exchange.*

He was amazed. From what he knew, the System made a major update and many things were still being upgraded.

Auction House and Blackmarket were new functions too. And there's that Customer Suggestion Box. It only got added after some days when the Super Phenomena happened. No one knew when it emerged, but it was a good thing to have.

Most people discovered the function after completing a Common Zone. They were given information about the Customer Suggestion Box and then word of the mouth spread the information. Even if someone didn't complete a Common Zone, one could give suggestions as long as they reached Gold Rank.

It meant Alpha was right. System wanted to take care of its Users. It was doing everything it could to improve.

"For now, I want to travel light. I'll upgrade my Inventory." He whispered.

"Upgrade."

<100 God Points had been consumed.>

"Hm? It seems the price goes up the more I upgrade the Inventory…"

But still, it was worth it to have 30 Inventory Slots for 110 GP. He didn't know if it would still be worth it to spend 300 GP for just 20 slots.

"For now, I should think of other things to upgrade…"

There was a lot more the System said but for him, it was too much information so he just read it but couldn't absorb the details. He would just think about it later when his brain was not tired anymore. He was really lucky to have Sho's brain that could remember everything.

"AH!"

Before he knew it, he stumbled over a root and lost his balance. He tried to salvage the situation and not fall pitifully, he reached out to the nearest tree hoping to gain his balance, but the only thing he managed to do was get his body smashed inside the tree.

His speed was so fast that an abrupt stop was not something possible. As such he caused himself to crash inside the tree. It felt comedic but it was not funny as he was the one who stupidly imprinted himself in the tree.

"Ugh… this is so embarrassing…" He said blushing as he got himself out of the tree. Just to be sure that no one saw him, he looked around. Only then could he heave a sigh of relief and hide his face in his palm. He was too embarrassed even when it was only him who saw what happened.

He looked at The Prophet behind his back. For the first time, he was thankful that the accident didn't harm and woke up The Prophet.

"This is what happens when I lose focus… Hoooh… Haaaah."

[Master…]

He froze. "D-did you see that, Sanctuary…?" he gulped.

[Yes… hic…! I-I'm not laughing!]

"Damn."

His face turned beet red realizing he actually had an audience for his stupidity.
