Chapter 90 - Calming Stars

It didn't take too long for Caelus and Hikari to lure Alisa and Chester towards the cave. After questioning, Hikari and Caelus decided to cure Alisa first. Binding the two, he let Hikari experiment with Chester regarding the acupuncture points.

*Blessed Chester's zombified body, he was able to survive Hikari's practice.* Caelus even jokingly prayed for the guy's poor soul.

When Caelus finally healed Alisa, he put her to the resting area and started curing Chester. Saving him from Hikari's practice.

Judging from the two constitutions, they would wake up tomorrow.

There was no rush going out or letting Chester and Alisa take care of capturing zombies since they still had zombies captured by Gouki's team earlier. Even if they woke up after two days, it would still be fine since they could just lure some of the zombies near the Safe Zone.

If he would think of the urgent matter, it would be the Sleeping Potion because they only have 100 pieces, they could only save 100 people.

The next day, Sho was able to cure a total of five zombies.

With the insistence of Hikari, he put down his curing and slept for six hours.

In Caelus' sleep, he could clearly see a beautiful woman. She has straight black hair that reaches her back. Her eyes were big matched with double eyelids. Her lips naturally red as if it was a rose. She has a tanned skin that became a natural color as they always went outside to help tend the farm and hike. They had a vast land around them. A vegetation farm and the mountain.

The beautiful woman in front of Caelus was named Annie. She was cheerful and kind. She loved to tease Caelus as they were basically neighbors. He remembers her as someone who has a playful attitude but was extremely kind-hearted.

The images in his dream slowly changed to when he was still young.

Annie lived on the next farm. In the mountains where they lived, the land titles were as vague as it could be. The vast lands were their tribes and the people's properties.

As such, most children born in the tribe could run five kilometers up and down the mountain without worries. They were even permitted by their parents to do so. Most of them grew tanned from playing at the mountain and bathing in the sunlight.

There was no danger in their tribe's vicinity. If there was such danger, everyone would find out immediately and the danger would be taken care of by the thousands of people in the tribe.

Caelus being born in the tribe didn't know how living there was surreal compared to living in the city.

Their childhood was free and could be said to be one of the best.

The worst crime they had experienced for the past fifty years was kids playing pranks and digging some potatoes or sweet potatoes to be their snack.

Annie and Caelus had known each other since they were kids. He could not even remember when they started being friends. It was just a natural occurrence for people of the tribe to be friends.

They had played in the rain, in the mud or even in the mountain forest.

He was twenty-three years old when he finally saw Annie as a woman.

She had just turned sixteen at that time. She was admitted to a public college school to study for a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture.

They met outside their tribe for the very first time, it was the city where the Universities and Colleges are. The buzzling city where there are lots of foreigners amidst the locals. A city that was far from their tribe's atmosphere.

Here crime was as common as dirt, it was everywhere. The night life was something that fascinated Caelus.

There was no suspense when Annie and Caelus met again.

He just saw her and recognized her instantly, while she became shy as she had dressed beautifully, contrary to her usual long shorts and wide t-shirt, she was dressed in skinny jeans hugging her long legs and a flurry blouse that showed her mature figure.

Her long plain black hair was styled with bangs that enhanced her charming playful beauty. She was even wearing light makeup emphasizing her big brown eyes and full lips. Above all, her tanned skin was a perfect color highlighting her beauty.

Her brown eyes that always showed teasing were currently quivering with shyness. Although because of her tanned skin, one would not notice her blush, Caelus noticed it as he was captivated by her appearance. And as usual, she had a kind smile plastered on her lips despite being caught flustered.

Yet, despite being shy, her playfulness was still in full blown.

Seeing her like that, Caelus who started seeing Annie as a woman courted her diligently.

They had a seven year age gap.

For people of the tribe, that didn't actually matter. They were one big family, marriage among tribes was encouraged. Age didn't even matter.

However, Caelus had lived in both the tribe and in the city. He knew that Annie as a sixteen year old was still too young. He didn't mind for her to reach the legal age before they would be together.

Still, he just couldn't wait around without telling how he felt for her.

They started as just friends. They had known each other for so long that even when Caelus started courting Annie, their relationship didn't change that much. Instead they just grew closer.

The more they interacted with each other, the more Caelus feeling grew for her.

She was too kind and he admired her for it.

Their parents knew their courtship.

They even teased the two whenever they saw them together.

Caelus waited patiently for Annie. He didn't want to rush her. He was just happy to be beside her. To see her grow. To see her achieve her dreams and goals. He just loved to be by her side as she made herself whole.

When she needed him, he would come hands down knees to the ground just to help her.

He truly loved her and everyone could see and feel it.

And when the faithful day Annie accepted him as his man, it was the most beautiful day for both of them.

Annie admitted that he had liked him ever since he asked to court her, but was not sure if they should be together. Annie was conservative and she wanted to be sure that he would be the man she would marry. She wanted to make sure Caelus wouldn't just give up on her just because she was hard to get.

"Isn't it a privilege of the woman to play hard to get and the man to try her best to make her feel she was wanted and needed? I just really want to be sure you'll never leave me."

It was what Annie said when she playfully told her why it took her four years to take him as her boyfriend.

Caelus didn't understand it but he respected her. He was also happy for them to be together. Four years of courtship was all worth it because they knew they would marry each other. They decided to marry one year later.

But the Super Phenomena happened one year later…
