Hello there, my name is Kouta Shiwamari and I'm a full-time introverted guy. For the past 17 years of my life, due to my lack of social skills, I've been avoided and ignored by my surroundings. Yes, everyone avoided me. Until one day at the park, someone talked to me.
The boy stared upwards, at nothing, as he slowly took items out of his bookbag. A tin of coffee, and a loaf of chicken-flavoured bread.
Kouta's expression barely changed, yet a grin was visible. "Hmm," Kouta sighed, "If only the sky could speak back to me." Kouta's grin faded away. He took a bite out of his bread, slowly placing his hand onto the bench. How lucky was he, to have all this extra space, all to himself? "Though I do have a 'wonderful' life..." he continued.
He then heard footsteps approaching him. "It is a wonderful life, but sitting alone is rather lonely don't you think?" a girl appeared to his right. Kouta's shocked, what's a girl doing here? "Hello? ~" she continued with a smile. The boy blushed for a tiny bit.
"Hey, where do you go to school?" she asked while leaning at a tree next to the bench. "K- Kitagiri High... I'm a second year..." he replied with a nervous look. Her eyes suddenly wide open. "REALLY? I GO THERE TOO!" she said with a joyful tone while she shook his hand simultaneously. He blushed yet again.
The boy blushed once again, shocked by the news. He thinks he's in an awkward position, a girl talks to an introverted guy. "Hey, are you okay?" she asked after letting go of his hand. Kouta nervously shook his head left and right but at the same time up and down. Which makes her confused, "Uh, which one..." she thought to herself with a giggle. The girl then approached him, "Hey, when we meet again..." she said with a smile. Kouta's eyes widened, surprised at what she said.
"... let's be the best of friends alright?" she continued with a thin smile. Wind breezes past them, Kouta eyes are locked at the moment. He blushed really hard. The girl came closer, "Hey are you okay?~" she asked again.
And, that's how we got here...
"Shiwamari-kun!" the voice was heard from the right. Kouta turned, Junko-san was running towards him while waving her hand. "J- Junko-san.." said the boy.
Yeah... the girl I mentioned was, Kyoko Junko, she's basically the only person I talk to. I was even surprised at the time. "Hey, what are you doing, hmm?~" she asked. That look on her face, she's up to something again. "Umm, nothing! Just admiring the sky..." Kouta spoke softly.
Junko grinned, "True... the weather sure is beautiful today isn't it?" she said that as she's looking through the window. Kouta here is still not used to someone talking to him, so he becomes silent from time to time.
"Earth to Shiwamari-kun, hello?" Junko appeared right in front of Kouta. He then snapped out of his world. "Ah... sorry I was spacing out..." he said. She chuckled. "KRINGG!"
The bell rang, class was about to start. "Oh shoot, class is about to start, I want to talk to you more..." said Junko as she suddenly pouts. Kouta blushed due to embarrassment. A few minutes later, class started as usual.
Recess time, my favorite time of the day. Since I'm avoided and ignored, I can go and eat anywhere I please, the teachers won't notice me anyway. Five minutes have passed, and he still doesn't know where to eat.
"Oh, maybe that place would be a great spot." he thought to himself, then headed towards the mentioned location.
Currently, there's only one huge tree at the school garden, which is The Apple Tree. "Yeah, this'll be a great spot." he spoke softly. "Yeah, it is a great spot, isn't it?" she said. "Yeah!" he replied when he suddenly turned around and saw a girl.
"Junko-san, what are you doing here!?" he was shocked that he went behind the tree in seconds. The girl laughs, she finds it amusing that such little things can shock him even when he expects it. "I'm here to eat my lunch with you of course. Why else?" she said that as she sat down and leaned at the tree log. They then sat next to each other after Kouta calmed down a bit.
"Ooo, rolled omelettes!" she said as she's focusing on Kouta's bento. He's confused. "D- do you want one?" he asked. "Eh really!?" she replied excitedly with sparkles in her eyes.
"With the sparkle in her eyes how can I say no.." he thought to himself. He nodded and she took one of the rolled omelettes. "Mmmm, so good!~" she exclaimed with joy. Kouta on the other hand just continued with his lunch.
Class started again as usual, and they were required to write a full essay, which is something Kouta was very good at. "Kouta, could you please read the first paragraph of your essay?" the teacher asked. "Ah- yes!" he replied nervously.
Even though sometimes the teacher ignores him, it still doesn't justify that he also needs to be active in class.
Junko, on the other hand, keeps staring at him while smiling. "Alright class, after you're done with the essay, please pass it to the front, and don't forget to fill your names!" The teacher was about to finish the class, and the students then started talking to each other.
"Oh, it seems I misspelt this... now where is it..." she thought to herself. "Darn... I've forgotten my eraser..." she spoke softly with a sad tone. Kouta always brought a few spares for everything he has in his pencil case, as every time it's gone, he doesn't have the courage to ask other people, he buys a new one every time it's missing.
"J- Junko-san..." he said. Junko looked towards him, "Mm?" she asked with a smile. This made Kouta's heart beat faster; he's really shy around girls. ".. would you like to use one of my erasers?" he asked while offering her an eraser. Her eyes are wide open. She smiled, "Hehe, don't mind if I do!" she said as she took it from his hand. Kouta then turns around the opposite way, he's red like a tomato.
"Damn... this is not good for my heart..." he mumbled.
