As the group set out of the village, they could feel the weight of their mission pressing down on them. Wei Zhao couldn't help but feel a sense of determination, fueled by his desire to retrieve the fallen friends of Wei Zhao. He inherited all of the memory of Wei Zhao so he also felt close to them.
As they walked for hours, they came across a small stream. One of the villagers suggested they stop to rest and fill up their water supplies.
"We can't afford to waste time," Liu Hao replied firmly. "Every moment counts. We need to press on."
Wei Zhao spoke up, "But Liu Hao, we don't want to overexert ourselves. We still have a long journey ahead. Taking a few minutes to rest and replenish our water supply could actually save us time in the long run."
Liu Hao hesitated, considering Wei Zhao's words. "Alright, you make a good point. Let's rest for a few minutes, but we can't linger here for too long."
As they sat by the stream, another villager piped up, "Do you think the other villages are also sending out hunting parties to retrieve the beast corpses?"
Wei Zhao shook his head. "I don't know, but it's a possibility. We need to be prepared for anything."
Just then, they heard rustling in the bushes nearby. They all tensed, ready to defend themselves, but it turned out to be the hunting party from another village. They went passed them without saying.
Wei Zhao said, "They must be returning from a hunt, they look tried"
Liu Hao replied, "Yes, I know them, they are from the stone village, and must've faced some problem they seem to be missing some people from what I know."
"Eh!" Wei Zhao was shocked.
"What are you shocked about this common occurrence in our life now", Shouted Mei Ling with power.
Even with her strong voice Wei Zhao could hear her sadness. they rested for a while before packing up and starting their journey again.
As they walked, they encountered a group of travelers heading in the opposite direction. The travelers were from a rival village, and tensions were high between the two communities.
Wei Zhao and his group exchanged wary glances with the travelers as they passed each other, but neither side made any move to attack. After all, they were all just trying to survive in a world ruled by beasts.
After a few more hours of walking, they reached their destination: the corpse of the beast that had killed their friends.
As they approached their fallen comrades, the group felt a wave of grief wash over them. Tears streamed down their faces as they knelt beside the bodies.
Mei Ling cried out, "Mei Ling'er!, How could this happen? How could they be taken you from us like this?"
Mei Ling'er was Mei Ling's niece and close friend of Wei Zhao and Liu Hao. they grow up playing tonight childhood and cultivated together.
Liu Hao placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "We will make those beasts pay," he said with a determined look in his eyes.
Wei Zhao, although not as close to the fallen comrade, also felt a sense of sadness and loss. He also knows from Wei Zhao's memory Liu Hao liked Mei Ling'er. But didn't get the opportunity to tell her his feelings
"We must take their bodies back to the village and give them a proper burial," said Wei Zhao, his voice heavy with sorrow.
Mei Ling wiped her tears and nodded. "You're right, Wei Zhao. We must honor their memory and fight for our village. Let's take everyone's body back and give them a proper burial."
They all nodded in agreement and set out to carry the beast's body back to the village, with Liu Hao and Mei Ling leading the way. As they walked, they shared stories and memories of their fallen comrade, finding comfort in each other's presence.

As the battle raged on, Wei Zhao watched from a safe distance and observed the beast's movements. He noticed that it was vulnerable to attacks on its hind legs.
"Sister Mei Ling, try attacking its hind legs!" Wei shouted.
Mei Ling nodded and swiftly changed her tactics, aiming her sword at the beast's legs. The beast stumbled, giving Liu Hao an opportunity to strike with his powerful fists.
"Nice one, Wei!" Mei Ling yelled.
Wei felt a surge of pride as he watched them take down the beast. He couldn't help but feel grateful for the opportunity to help in some small way.
As the dust settled, the group gathered around the defeated beast. Liu Hao checked its pulse and confirmed that it was truly dead.
"That was a close one," Mei Ling said, wiping the sweat from her forehead.
"Yeah, but we did it," Liu Hao replied.
Wei walked over to the beast's body and inspected its claws. He was amazed by the sheer size and power of the creature.
As Wei examined the beast's claws, he suddenly felt a surge of energy flow into him from the creature's body. The system alerted him of a reward for defeating such a formidable opponent.
