Chapter 11 - CHAPTER ELEVEN: THE DISAPPEARED BOY.

The both of them spent the night together but when Raelynn Lyla woke up, the man was gone and he had only left her the painting and his leather jacket. She asked around for him but nobody knew him. It was like he had disappeared. She finally gave up on her search when the old warehouse got demolished to make room for the school's playground but she had kept the leather jacket and the painting intact in her bedroom.

Raelynn Lyla rubbed her teary eyes and looked around the room, there were other patients waiting for her to leave the bed so that they could sit down on them, she carefully unwrapped the sweet candy's wrapping paper and ate it then left the room for Eleanor Freya. She had some deal she had to settle with her.

Eleanor Freya was busy applying some nail polish on her fingernails when Raelynn Lyla stormed into the room and walked to where she was.

"Look who is here!" Eleanor Freya exclaimed happily as she capped the nail polish bottle and stood up.

"Why are you here? Where's your bodyguard?" Eleanor Freya inquired.

"Go and ask the nurse in the office." Raelynn Lyla replied and immediately grabbed onto Eleanor Freya's hair ruthlessly and started pulling it. She smiled deviously as the other girls tried to stop her but she was far too strong.

"Stop it!" They screamed as they tried to stop her.

"Let go!" Eleanor Freya screamed angrily at Raelynn Lyla and once she let go, Eleanor Freya took the initiative and tried to slap her but Raelynn Lyla held her hand in mid air. She grabbed it firmly and looked at Eleanor Freya in a disgusting manner then rolled her eyes.

"You think I let you win the fight because I am weak? Hah! Think again buddy." Raelynn Lyla leaned closer to Eleanor Freya and said those words and then let go of her hand.

"Raelynn Lyla! You've lost your mind!" Eleanor Freya shouted as her chest heaved up and down due to her rising anger, she fought back and tried to claw Raelynn Lyla's face. But one slap caused the world to go completely silent as the other girls in the classroom stood with their eyes almost popping out of their sockets and their mouths wide open. Eleanor Freya held her left cheek that had been slapped in a shocked manner as she could not believe that Raelynn Lyla - the weak student had actually slapped her. Who would have dared to touch her face in the whole school, let alone a weakling like her? Eleanor Freya seethed with anger.

Raelynn Lyla brushed off her hands and looked at Eleanor Freya then gave her a lopsided smile before she leaned closer and patted her cheek softly. "Think of this as a repayment of the debt you owe me." She stated and left the room.

When Raelynn Lyla disappeared into the corridors, the other girls finally got closer to Eleanor Freya and started comforting her.

"Go away!" She screamed angrily and left the room. How could they just stand there when she was in trouble and when everything is done they go and comfort her. How ridiculous? Eleanor Freya thought to herself as she walked to the girl's washrooms.

The interschool basketball tournament was taking place that evening and the whole school had gathered in the field including Eleanor Freya and Raelynn Lyla. Raelynn Lyla had been sitting next to her best friend - Nevaeh Nova. The both of them were eating dried fruits and drinking cold, bottled fruit juice.

Raelynn Lyla could still not believe that the head boy of the school had given her a sweet candy. She thought he was a bad guy, but it turned out that she was actually wrong. She was on cloud nine at the thought of that.

"Kareem," she uttered his second name. Looked at him from a distance, dribbled the ball like a professional player. Every student of Derek Academy turned their heads just to see him dribble the ball gracefully. The girls cheered as they raised their hands for recognition. Some even daydreamed about being in a relationship with him - impossible it was!

The girls shouted, giggled , and cheered for him, "Kareem!" They screamed at the top of their lungs. It was like a rhyme song being sang by kindergarten children.

"Go Kareem! Go baby! Shoot it! Shoot it! Shoot it for me!" A tall, pale skinned young girl said. She clapped her hands but rolled her eyes in disgust when Nevaeh Nova saw her.

Raelynn Lyla covered her face when the student rushed to the front seats only to see the school's head boy play in the team. They scrambled for seats. Until the group of girls next to Raelynn Lyla right next to her, chuckled and smiled widely.

"I... I have to go now," she murmured softly and looked at her best friend, Nevaeh Nova then looked at her wrist watch for a second. She remembered that she had a mathematics tutoring lesson. She had to leave immediately.
