Chapter 3 - THE TWIN DAUGHTERS

Jonathan lifted his eyes and looked directly to where Pinky had her finger pointing. He saw the body which her daughter was talking about, laying down on the shores.

Without a second thought, he dropped a tilapia he had in the hand and jumped out of the boat. Pinky, whose face was frowned with fright, followed after him, upto where the was.

This was Kevin Moore laying on his stomach side, in an unconscious state.

Usually, whenever Kevin was on land, he happened to be in a complete human form. However, he knew nothing about humans, thus nothing about clothes.

"Is he still alive?" Snoopily, Pinky asked while she peeped from behind her father's back.

Carefully, Jonathan bent on his marks and gently put two fingers near Kevin's nose to check if he was still breathing.

"I think he is dead," he replied worriedly to his daughter.

The desire to handle this unplanned detour bemused Jonathan. Uncertainly, as he was still confused about what to do about the strange man's body, a water wave crushed at the shore and pored some of its water on Kevin.

Suddenly, in a single move, he opened his mouth which was a little bit hidden within the thick beard around his face, and closed it.

By the time this happens, Pinky is watching him closely, trying to understand who he is exactly.

"T The man is alive dad!" Stuttering anxiously, she exclaimed.

"Really?"

On quick brains, Jonathan took off his Jacket so fast and covered Kevin's nakedness. Right by Kevin's side was an old version computer, which he and his mother, in their uncivilized world, termed as an 'object' since they didn't know its real name.

Woefully unprepared, Jonathan had to take on the responsibility and help the stranger.

Buena City:

In a heap of thoughts, Monica Yen seemed to be drowned while she stood infront of a wide wall mirror with her head down, inside the lady's washrooms.

As she was still in distress, the washrooms door opened. A young lady who was decently dressed in luxury outfits walked in.

"Mom!" As soon as the young lady saw Monica Yen in distress, she took off the dark shades and on quick steps she approached her.

"Oh, Babara....." Monica Yen raised her head up straight from stressful thoughts.

She always hated her daughter to see her miserable. But as her best friend, she couldn't avoid it from happening.

"Seriously mom! Yet you know we're out of time right now!" Babara complained.

"How long are you going to continue like this mom? For years now and it's still hard to share your pains with me _ I'm your daughter for crying out loud!" She went ahead to show deep concern.

"I don't want to say, but sometimes you become so annoying," with a sad attitude Babara added.

"I'm sorry sweetheart," Monica Yen had no excuse except to apologize.

"Anyway, its not the right time to get emotional _ It's better you get yourself back on the right course.... and don't forget your smile when we get outside the washrooms." Babara lifted her mother's spirit.

Quiet for a few seconds, Monica took a long breathe to relax.By the sink on the side was her purple coloured fancy handbag which Babara assisted her to carry as they walked out of the washrooms.

In a small voice, that's after they had just stepped out of the washrooms, "We only have one minute to go," Playfully, all to put her mother in a good mood, Babara whispered in her ear even though it wasn't that necessary.

Finally on glowing faces, both of them walked gently on marble floors of YEN COOPERATION headquarters, a multi-billion group of companies which dealt in medicine manufacturing and scientific research.

Infront of two hard glass doors, Monica Yen and Babara Yen arrived. As soon as they entered, every body inside stood up and showed muximum respect.

"All of you have heard, but never seen my daughter Babara before," straight away, with a gorgeous smile on her face, Monica Yen started to address the board meeting.

Very beautiful and classy with status, Babara lifted up an arm and waved to the administrators.

".... thats my daughter," Monica Yen confirmed.

"Oh, wonderful...!"

Men and women in suits smiled their approval. "Wow....! She's very beautiful...." small voices murmured.

"Twenty years ago," Monica Yen related, "when Babara was a week old, I promised myself that when I make fifty years of age, I will resign the CEO position and handover to the young and vibrant generation to continue with brightening the future of YEN COOPERATIONS while I watch from my retirement space."

Hands of time never lie," she continued to say, "they run faster than we ever imagine _ here we're now."

A big round of applause covered inside the room.

Allover a sudden, in the midst of the meeting everyone began to sing; "happy birthday to you...," for Monica Yen in beautiful melodies. She was showered with love and appreciation.

This never left her the same. Tears of joy began to flow down on her smiling face and she whipped them off with the back of her palm. As she was still enjoying the beautiful melodies emotionally, a stubborn woman named secretary Jamila pulled out a big bottle of champagne from underneath the table and popped it.

This was yet another spice of the afternoon. Secretary Jamila, a grown-up woman, almost in the same age bracket with Monica Yen, began to dance up and down the whole room with a champagne bottle in the hand.

In her decent office wear which included white high heels, a yellow knee level skirt and a yellow coat on a white blouse, secretary Jamila put up a very stubborn perforance which left Monica tearing up in laughters.

"Secretary Jamila," Monica mentioned her name on joyful sighs as everyone in the room was still calming down from the peak of enjoyment.

"You're not only a secretary who has worked committedly hard with us for twenty years, but you're also a stress killer and you deserves more. For that matter before I step down today, I take this appoint to appoint you as Babara's personal secretary."

Immediately after her brief speech, she thanked everyone around and walked out of the room with her daughter on the side.

Notably however, Monica Yen was wrong about secretary Jamila. What she didn't know was, the stubborn woman was planted as a spy by Jelly Spatters, the leader of the vampire bat realm, and given an assignment to terminate Monica Yen and one of her twin daughters who is a vampire.

But, since Jelly Spatters never allowed any vampire to feed on human blood, he was insecure to trust a vampire to spy in human cities, due to endless human blood temptations. He instead closed a deal with a human, who was even least suspected, secretary Jamila.

Outside a towering skyscraper, the headquarters of YEN COOPERATIONS, a swarm of paparazzi from different media houses flocked down the main entrance, as they impatiently waited to report live the hotest news in the city about Monica Yen, CEO of YEN COOPERATIONS stepping down on her fiftieth birthday.

"Many company deligates have been wishing to take on the position....."

"Now here we're, outside the building reporting to you live..."

"Whoever is going to step in the CEO's shoe; just keep tuned, we're being to you the details..."

Reporters of different media houses reported.

As Monica was on her way out with Babara, a whisper from a security personnel landed into her ears, informing her of a swarm of paparazzi who were gathering outside. Due to her personal matters which caused her distress, she never liked to engage with them.

Immediately she ordered secretary Jamila to face the paparazzi on her behalf.

Monica Yen, together with her daughter entered an elevator direct to the building rooftop at the helipad where the helicopter readily waited.

As expected, from the elvator to the helicopter was bright sunshine which she couldn't dare to bump into. Well equipped, she delved into her fancy purple handbag and pulled out a scarf which she rolled over her head like arabs in the desert.

"Can I borrow your sunglasses sweetheart?" She asked.

Babara took off the sunglasses and passed them over to her, as she uttered inquiry statements; "For a long time I've noticed that, whenever there's sunlight you don't even want to leave the house. Is it your skin care secret?"

"You're fifty years old now and your skin is as clear as edited _ sometimes it glitters like diamonds!" Babara really had a lot of pending questions.

However, Monica Yen was a very secret woman who always kept everything about herself confidential. She never revealed her true identity to anyone, not even her closest friend, who was her daughter Babara.

As she always did, even at this moment she gave no replies to Babara's interrogative expressions.

Thoroughly well, she made sure her hands were fully socked in gloves and finally covered her eyes behind sunglasses, leaving no space for sunlight to touch her skin.

She then walked gently to meet the helicopter. Babara didn't have any better option other than following her mother to the helicopter, even after showering her a deaf ear.

"Look who's is coming...!" Media reporters and the paparazzi began to climb upstairs really quick to get an interview.

Ready for whatever, secretary Jamila stepped down the long and wide stairs at the main entrance and engaged the journalists and paparazzi who where hungry for news.

"Rumours have it that her daughter Babara has never left mansion ever since she was born _ how true is that...?"

"Is it true that Monica Yen hired private tutors to teach Babara from home instead of taking her to school like any other children.....?

From every angle, questions began to fire like gun bullets into secretary Jamila's ears. But, however annoying some questions turned up, a stubborn smile never left her cheeks.

"Is Babara an imaginary child Monica Yen is trying to create in her own imagination since she's aging without a husband....?"

Capricon city slums:

On a small bed inside a ramshackled house, Kevin Moore slowly open his eye from deep sleep. Back to his senses, Kevin realised he was in a strange place and suddenly jumped off the bed.

With an anxious face, he gave a strange look at the clothes covering his body. To him clothes were an odd thing making him uncomfortable, "get off my skin..!" He grabbed the long sleeved shirt and teared it off his chest.

The pair of shorts couldn't tear off easily when he pulled them. As he was still working aggressively to get rid of them, he suddenly felt dizzy. His feet lost stamina and eventually he fell down on the floor.

In a small kitchen outside, a grown-up woman, Pinky's grandaunt, was busy blowing air from her mouth into the fire to make the medicine soup cook fast.

By the time she chocked and coughed, the soup was also ready to be served. She poured a potion into a small bowl and carefully walked with it inside house to serve the patient.

Before she entered, carefully, she took sandals off her feet by the house entrance and walked to meet the stranger kevin in a room. A magic blue fire flame was allover the room blazing out of kevin when she pushed door open.

This startled grandaunt and the soup bowl slipped out of hands. Down on the floor it fell and scattered in pieces.

As she stepped backwards to run, she stepped in poured soup and slipped down on a wet floor. In panick and fright, she crawled to flee but kept sliding back down.

Suddenly, the blue flame disappeared from Kevin's body, and the condition stabilized. It all happened when Pinky's grandaunt was eyes widely open, watching.

Finally, Kevin got up on his feet strong and sound.

Grandaunt couldn't take it any more, she fainted. As she was down on the floor pretending to be unconscious, Kevin began to take small steps forward in her direction. Partially she opened one of her eyes and to her shock, the stranger was walking towards her. Too scared, she rushed and picked a table spoon on the side which was meant to serve the poured soup earlier.

"D D Don't try to come near me!"

Stuttering scaredly, she pointed the spoon at him as a weapon.
