Shriya walked out of the training room and saw her brother sitting at the couch while looking at his phone. He looked at her when she walked as she went to him and sat beside him as he looked at her.
She gulped as she can see his now more buffed form and she can say in her mind that her brother is much more handsome than before. Not that he wasn't before but it has become more defined as she has to stop herself from blushing while she is looking at him.
'Don't waste this chance. I have to mend our relationship, even if it's subpar.' Shriya thought to herself as she looked at him.
"Dyn, have you talked with mom or dad?" Shriya asked him quickly.
"No. I don't want to hear them talking about how I should've studied more." Dynamis said as he rubbed his head.
If his parents were to learn that he is borrowing money from his sister and is also living in her mansion, even if the decision had only just been made, it wouldn't sit well with them. And he doesn't want to divulge the fact that he is a Blessed so quickly.
"Oh, right. How is college?" Shriya asked him as she learned that the previous topic isn't good.
"It's going fine I guess. Though Olivia's appearance there caused quite the stir amongst the students, but I guess it is manageable, maybe." Dynamis said with a sigh as he rubbed his head.
"I'm sure she didn't mean it." Shriya said as she tried to placate him to make sure that there wouldn't be any bad blood between the two of them.
"Yeah. I just hope that it doesn't get too hectic. Oh who am I kidding, she is too famous for it to not be hectic. And since I'm a Blessed as well, it will change things." Dynamis said as he rubbed his head and let out a sigh.
"Well, look on the bright side, now that you are a Blessed, they can't do much to you." Shriya said with a smile on her face.
"Yeah, I guess you're right about that. You were always a bright kid after all." Dynamis said with a smile when he heard that.
Shriya's eyes widened when she heard that as she remembered the conversation she had overheard. She bit her lip as she remembered it as she knew that he has low self esteem.
"How about your job, how has that been going?" Shriya asked him curiously.
"It's going pretty well. The pay is good and the ones who hired me are people I know." Dynamis said to her with a shrug of his shoulders.
"Good to know." Shriya said with a nod and a smile when she heard that.
'At least his boss is good. I wonder what kind of guy he is?' Shriya thought to herself as she knew that he has gotten a new job.
"Yeah, she is a good person and works hard. And her daughter is very kind as well. Though the three of us are the only employees, we are doing fine." Dynamis said as he smiled fondly at that.
"Wait what?" Shriya said in surprise when she heard that.
'What did he just say? Her? Daughter?' Shriya thought to herself as she looked at him.
"What do you mean her? Your boss is a woman?" Shriya asked him in surprise.
"Oh right, you didn't know. I was fired from my previous workplace, so I tried job hunting and managed to get a job at the restaurant of my friends. She and her mother are the only employees at the restaurant since it is a small shop. Most of the ones who wanted jobs were picked up by the other shops and they also offered more pay." Dynamis said as he remembered the situation of the two women.
Their restaurant wasn't that big and they are the only ones who worked there. But there was more to the situation than he had said.
While it is true that they didn't get employees due to the fact that they were taken by other shops, some of the men who came for the job were ones who were aiming for Emma and her daughter Christine.
They were able to handle them somewhat and since he became more acquainted with her, he also helped in keeping guys like that away from the place as well.
"So it's only the three of you there?" Shriya asked as she eyed him.
"Yeah, we are the only ones left after the shop closes. Thanks for the drink." Dynamis said as he drank some juice a maid brought.
"It was my pleasure sir." The maid said with a nod and a blush.
She stepped back and stood with the other maid as she was elbowed a bit by her.
"How are they?" Shriya asked him as she watched him drink his juice.
"They are nice people. Soft spoken, kind and hardworking. Though I guess with the fact that I have also started to work there it has become easier for them and more customers are coming." Dynamis said as he finished the drink.
"How is the pay?" Shriya asked again.
"It is good. Enough for me to live without much of a problem. Though, now that I'm a Blessed, maybe I can help them in another way." Dynamis said as he thought about it.
'They are lacking help, maybe if I ask Olivia to help them. Emma has been working hard for a long time now, if only I could get my hands on her ex-husband. Seriously, who would leave a beautiful woman like that behind?' Dynamis thought to himself as he remembered them.
Then he realised what he had thought as he blushed a bit as the memory of the two of them sitting beside him while being covered in sweat and having their clothes clinging to their bodies appeared in his mind.
Shriya who saw his blush narrowed her eyes and then shook her head a bit before she looked at him.
"So, now that you are going to be living with us, what do you plan to do?" Shriya asked him with a smile on her face as she wanted to change the subject.
"Well, I don't know. This is also just going very fast. But I guess I have to get used to this new change. I mean, Olivia has servants and all and a big house. Actually, how are mom and dad back home?" Dynamis asked as he realised that.
"They are fine. Big sis send them money to use and they have used it to buy a new house, get many luxuries and all those things. Basically, they are living the rich life." Shriya said to him with a smile.
"I see. I guess they don't talk about me very much?" Dynamis asked her as he looked at her.
"Well, they do talk about you but they are mostly talking about the trips that they go to." Shriya said to him with a nod as she frowned a bit.
"Well, I guess they are enjoying life." Dynamis said with a sigh when he heard that.
Shriya looked at him and then sighed as she wasn't making any headway with this. She can't bring up the conversation between him and Abigail, and she can't say anything that might reveal that fact. And she hasn't been in contact with him for a while now, she also remembered about how he talked about the birthday and she felt more guilty about it.
She then looked at the maids in the room and gestured for them to leave them. The maids understood and left the room as he was confused at their sudden change in behaviour as it brought him out of his thoughts.
"Um, why are they leaving?" Dynamis asked as he looked at his sister.
But instead of hearing an answer he felt two arms wrap around his chest as Shriya hugged him as he was surprised by it as he looked at his sister as she has her face on his chest.
"Shriya, why are you hugging me so suddenly?" Dynamis asked her as he looked at her.
"No particular reason. Can I stay like this?" Shriya said to him as she kept on with the hug.
"Sure." Dynamis said as he looked at her.
He was a bit surprised at her behaviour, but at the same time he felt nostalgia at the fact that his sister is hugging him again as he smiled at her. Then he slowly wrapped his arms around her as she flinched a bit.
But since she didn't move after that, he took it as his sign to go on as he wrapped his arms around her and hugged her softly. Shriya felt the heat of his body and it's strength as she blushed while she hugged him.
She remembered the time when she would hug him and call him fondly. The time when she saw him as her hero and then she remembers how he was currently and the reason as to why he is like this.
'Ah, I have... missed this. Sorry big brother, guess I wasn't that good of a little sister. I'm sorry for pushing you and making fun of you like that. I will make it up to you.' Shriya thought to herself as she hugged him.
'I feel nostalgic when I'm hugging her. This is nice.' Dynamis thought to himself as he hugged her and smiled at the feeling.
While the two were in their own little world, Olivia was looking at them from her place, as she was looking inside the room using a small space as she had opened the door silently and watched.
'This is good. They are slowly getting together.' Olivia thought to herself as she smiled at the sight.
Then she remembered a memory of her being babied by Dynamis as the both of them were smiling together and then to another one where she is hugging a younger sleeping Dynamis while she is also with him on the bed as she smiled at him.
She became sad as she remembered those moments of the past as she clenched her right fist as she looked at the two.
'I will make it up to you Dyn. You can count on it.' Olivia thought it herself as she watched them.
