Xua Ying Yue looked at the group of girls that were sitting at the table, her eyes flickered to Jia Lu Li who looked rather uncomfortable with the way Qi Qiao was giving orders for one dish after another. Because there was only her sister and her, Xua Ying Yue was responsible for taking orders while Xua Yenay was responsible for serving meals this way there was no confusion and the two of them were able to handle most of the customers.
However, once in a while, they will have to handle a customer that was hard to deal with and Xua Ying Yue was facing the same problem at the moment. She looked at the arrogant Qi Qiao who was rattling the name of the dishes without pausing all the while ignoring the look of discomfort on Jia Lu Li's face.
It was evident that Jia Lu Li was not comfortable with the long bill that was coming her way but she was too shy or awkward to stop Qi Qiao whom she treated as her friend.
Xua Ying Yue turned to look at Jia Lu Li, she knew that this girl was the one who will be settling the bill, expecting silently that the girl will speak up for herself but when she saw that Jia Lu Li did not say a word even though Qi Qiao had ordered more than ten dishes, Xua Ying Yue turned her eyes away from the girl who was looking at her lap.
Since the girl did not want to help herself, there was no way she could help her either, what if she stood up for the girl and the latter shot her down for messing with her affairs? Xua Ying Yue did not want to face such a situation, so she simply noted down the names of the dishes that were ordered by Qi Qiao who had not once asked what Jia Lu Li wanted and for the sake of being polite asked in a cold tone, " Will that be everything? Or is there anything else that you want?"
Qi Qiao had been keeping an eye on the young man who was sitting at the table next to her, she hoped that the young man will turn to look at her and at least take a glance at her. Even though her mother was a vegetable seller, Qi Qiao was rather proud of her looks, back in her school she was the prettiest girl in the class and was often swarmed by a group of boys.
Which was why she thought that the young man sitting at the table next to hers would also find her beautiful but then she raised her head and looked at the young waitress who was taking her order and her confidence waned a little.
Even though the girl in front of her was dressed in a long-sleeved sweater with baggy pants that hid her curves. But with her hair tied in a long ponytail, her palm-size face looked even more exquisite, even with her hands in bandages, she looked rather delicate.
" Miss, will that be all?" Seeing that the girl was in a daze Xua Ying Yue opened her mouth and asked again causing Qi Qiao to snap out of her daze as she turned to look at Zhou Zeming who was sitting at the table and finally came to take matters in her hands, since the young man was not looking at her, she will make him look at her!
There was no way, a man with a healthy body could ignore her!
With that thought in her head, Qi Qiao turned her body slightly to the left then cleared her throat before raising her voice slightly as she spoke in an inquisitive tone, " Excuse me, comrade, what are you having can you tell me? It looks delicious from here but I can't make out what it is, if you don't mind the name of the dish can you tell me?"
Qi Qiao feigned innocence causing Zou Zeming who was nibbling on his pork belly to look up and turn his head to the woman who was speaking to him.
" Are you asking me?" He blinked his eyes and questioned.
" Thats right," Qi Qiao shyly batted her eyelashes causing Xua Ying Yue to frown in disgust, she wanted to leave this daily soap drama but then she heard Zou Zeming say, " I am sorry comrade but I do not work in this restaurant, this dish was ordered by my grandfather and suggested by Grandma Tian…if you want to ask the name of the dish, I am afraid that you have to bother the capable maid next to you."
Zou Zeming was polite and a happy-go-lucky boy on the outside but that did not mean that he had no thorns hidden inside his heart, even though he was smiling at Qi Qiao one could see that he was a bit annoyed with the woman's attempt of gaining his attention.
Qi Qiao was stunned when she heard the words of the young man, she was slightly upset that he had refused her advances but she couldn't show the embarrassment on her face instead she turned to glare at Xua Ying Yue fiercely and asked, " Tell me the name of that dish that he is having."
'Wow so fierce,' Xua Ying Yue remarked in her head but she did not say anything and handed the girl the name of the dish that Zou Zeming was having, and she was not even surprised when she saw that the bill had reached past two hundred yuan.
It was not a big sum of money for children like Lu Biya but —— she turned to look at Jia Lu Li who was nervously eyeing the menu in front of her and nibbling her lower lip, for someone like this girl …it must be her month's of savings.
But that was not her concern, Xua Ying Yue thought as she turned around and walked to the kitchen.
