Every night is the same. Same nightmare. Same waking up and crying. Same guilt that has been buried inside ever since. Same tears that ran down his face and cried and screamed. Sebastian was in his bed tossing and turning. He shot up and breathed heavily.
"MOM! I'm sorry" he said as he sat up and brought his knees to his chest and cried. His guilt was buried deep but would always come up when he missed his mom. His mom. His rock and strength. This guilt he has been carrying since he was 17. He was so angry at her that she didn't come to his game. She got in a drunk driving accident and died on the spot. When they told him he felt something died inside him that day. After that, he stopped playing football and got silent and cold. He wished he just understood that his mom was busy. He wishes he had just waited instead of being a brat and cocky
The next day he sat in the meeting. Cold. Ice cold glare looking into the room where everyone was speaking. Usually, he'll be happy but right now he isn't. The nightmare kept him up all night and he didn't get a good rest after that, so he was tired and not in the mood with these old geezers. Everyone was talking above everyone and trying to get their points across. They wanted the boss of Royal Publishing to not take on a new partner. He looked at them while he was brewing in anger and giving them all a cold glare. His signature cold glare. He slammed his hands on the desk and looked at them and his assistant was shaking in her chair, and he looked at her.
"Who are you all to tell me what to do?" he asked in his cold voice and they all sat quietly and until one of them opened his mouth talking nonsense to the boss.
"WE ARE NOT TAKING ON THE NEW COMPANY! IF YOU TAKE THEM ON I WILL LEAVE WITH ALL MY MONEY!" the old man said as he shouted at Sebastian.
"Well go on! I'm not holding the door! But once you leave remember that I own the majority of your old, broken-down company and I'm holding your company up!" Sebastian said and the old man grit his teeth and saw down quietly.
"THIS IS MY COMPANY AND I'LL DO AS I PLEASE AND IF YOU ALL DONT LIKE IT THEN GO!" he shouted but they all sat down.
Everyone in that office relies on Royals Publishing and they knew it, so no one dared to object to Sebastian's decision. Sebastian sat back down and looked at them and glared at them. They all sat there quietly, and Jasmine looked at them and sighed. When the meeting was done, they all left. He was angry at all those old men and didn't like it. Jasmine packed up and looked at him and soothe him. He nodded and they both walked to the elevator and went in, but the elevator cable snapped, and it was falling. He held on to Jasmine.
"Jasmine! Hold on!!"
