The time had finally come. Abi was finally ready to leave home. She had saved up just around enough money to last her dad at the elderly home for two months until she got a job.
She felt very satisfied with herself and after dropping her sick innocent father off, she got ready for Crown Lake Academy. Although it was really hard for Abi to just forget about home, she managed to summon up courage and leave home.
She took one last glance at the house where she grew up. With its crooked walls, leaky roof, always damp floor, and over flowing sinks.
She remembered playing with her dad in the corn fields and catching toads with mum just to scare dad.
She loved the way, her mum always let her play in the rain and get her hair all wet and the way her father scolded the duo with a bowl of piping hot soup.
It always burned their tongues but that was just to teach her them a lesson for playing in the rain. But who still took care of them when they got a fever? Dad! Her naive little dad.
Those were fun times but while leaving, it hurt Abi so much, that she'll have to leave behind all the memories of her amazing childhood. It hurt a lot but she needed to leave.
She needed to make her mum proud by getting revenge in all those people who hurt her and also to fulfill her father's wish for her to become a doctor.
All these could only be possible if she left all the memories behind. It will sting for a little bit but it will be totally worth it. She needed to focus on her mission.
1. Make Miquel fall head over heels in love with her and.....
2. Get revenge for her mother's death and....
3. Fulfill her dad's wish to become a doctor.
She knew her basic goals and now she was all ready and set to leave home.
She walked over to the little pond and put her feet in the water, warmed by the morning sun. She felt even more depressed and stood up to leave. She wasn't going to stay here anymore before she couldn't leave. She stood up, dusted herself up and walked away not even looking back once. Because she knew she would break down if she turned around.
She looked around her neighbourhood and adored the fact that she grew up here. She could see little children playing with all the junk they could find on the streets. The women, getting ready to start the day and be off to the market, and the old folks squabbling about one thing or another. It was a beautiful day to meet your crush. Abi blushed just at the thought of it.
She finally arrived at the train station and immediately bought a ticket. She felt bad because she didn't have a single friend to say goodbye to. She got the ticket and waited for the train to arrive while sitting on a bench.
"Shoot!".Abi suddenly remembered she had forgotten to put on her nose mask. She immediately searched for it and was so relieved to have found it in her bag. She hurriedly wore it and was finally calm again.
Then, a thought crossed her mind."Did he see it?". She stared at the man who she had bought the ticket from. He looked normal but there was something quite suspicious about him,she couldn't place her finger on.
She stared at the thin man who had more bones than meat and who kept on adjusting his tie. Sweat trickling down his forehead, Adams apple gulping up and down. He took out a dirty white handkerchief and wiped his mouth. Abi was confused if she should confront him or not but her thoughts were interrupted when she saw the man walking away.
She immediately rose and began to follow him. He didn't go far when Abi stopped him. The man said "Who are you? I swear if you are one of Gigi's girls, I'll break you to pieces."
Abi was now obviously very confused but before she could reply, the train had arrived and it was almost leaving.
She decided to let the man go and ran towards the train. She didn't even have much of a choice because the man should have been halfway across the border by now by the way he ran the moment she left him.
It didn't bother her much because she was finally leaving and starting a new life at Crown Lake Academy. She boarded the train and picked a window seat so she could have a clear view of the world outside.
Someone was excited!!
