Characters:

[Miwen] (First appearance in chapter 2) (spoilers ahead)

He is the story's protagonist. A young man who thinks of himself as an average person, not recognizing his own virtues. Even if his kindness ends up being a detriment to himself, he'll still go the extra mile for the people he feels strongly about.

After receiving his Gift, a mysterious power that seems to work like no other, he embarks on the path of an adventurer, raiding dungeons while trying to deal with the challenges his own power and the world around him impose.

A strong and reliable young woman, even though she's not as energetic as some other characters, she has no problem expressing herself, her desires, and her needs, and does so whenever it feels right.

She was the first one to be summoned by Miwen using his Gift and grows to be special to him in many ways. As a kind person herself, she thinks that they resonate well.

She used to be an adventurer who managed to climb the ranks quite far up. Even though she was mostly self-taught, she's skilled both with the sword and in using her ice magic.

A dignified noble, having been born in a house of strong warriors, she was capable of proving her worth and secured herself as heir to her house, silencing any doubters through sheer display of power.

At least, that's what she used to be. She's a strong-willed person who uses her second chance at life to live the way she wants, making her behavior slowly become different from how she was.

At first, she has questions about Miwen's capabilities and actions, but seeing as he's a genuine person, grows to form a good, trusting relationship with him.

[Roy]

A pretty capable and reliable guy, when push comes to shove, he shows his worth. 

Has always been a fan of dungeons and the stories of the adventurers from old times, he's pretty knowledgeable, but a bit naive in his excitement.

It's not easy to notice that thanks to his personality, but it leads to him taking actions without thinking properly beforehand, even though deep down he knows he should be more careful.

[Sam]

An upbeat girl who decided to be an adventurer. She learned to fight at a young age and has always done a good job at it.

When it comes to dungeons, she's not the most knowledgeable, but she at least knows what to look out for and she possesses a clear head that enables her to make positive decisions.

She values her own strength and wants to see how much stronger she can become.

[Melissa] (Spoilers)

The chieftainess of the Snow White Wolves Tribe. Smart and strong, she's a considerably good leader who is more than ready to fight for her people. She's also Mia's mother, a role she takes as much pride in.

She has endured years at war and managed to protect her tribe against a superior military force, though she incurred losses while doing so.

She realizes that Miwen brings a great opportunity for her with his Gift and uses him to advance her plans while elaborating a new strategy that makes use of him.

[Mia] (Heavy Spoilers)

She was the only one Miwen was capable of saving during the war the Snow White Wolves were fighting.

It was her mother's last wish that her child could live on, but while she has adapted to life on Earth, she desires revenge more than anything else and is willing to throw everything away to achieve it.

She believes Miwen is necessary, and that with his help, she'll manage to make her enemies pay.

She has trouble understanding Miwen, but she sees that he has good intentions, and warms up to him with time. She would do anything to make him less of a pervert/playboy.

[Anna]

She used to be a knight for hire, and was stationed as a city guard, but met her end while protecting a small city. She never achieved a high position, nor made full use of her Gift.

She was summoned by Miwen together with two others, and while she had her doubts about the situation, those were quickly dispelled.

In her second life, she wants to aim higher and achieve more than before, while also doing things she couldn't before.

[Beatrice]

A witch. Devoted to her studies, she never took the appropriate time to know others, and thus, met her end. It's debatable if she would've had a happier end had she tried to explain herself, after all, she was no saint.

She's an intelligent and mature woman who plans on helping Miwen as much as possible, as she thinks only in a kingdom by his making will she achieve her desires.

[Ellie]

An elf that set out to see the world and broaden her horizons. She met a lot of people and discovered a bunch of things that would never fit in the small forest she came from.

Her dream was to buy the forest she was born in so that she could preserve the way of life of the elves, In hopes that this would lead them to forgive her transgression.

Deep down, she knows that she would still be shunned no matter what, as once she left, she lost her place, and thus, was not one of them anymore.

She found a new place alongside Miwen and is fond of his presence.

[The Traveling Merchant] (Heavy Spoilers)

A mysterious man. He's said to be one of the oldest living beings in all of creation, and also one of the most powerful.

He's a well-known and feared God Slayer and his mere presence in a world may cause the Gods to start a war. The Merchant leads a group called The Caravan, composed of men and women capable of challenging common sense with their abilities who have united under his banner to defeat Asdrea, King Of The Gods.

He takes an interest in Miwen and believes he would be a great asset to the Caravan due to his Gift.

Even though he's so old, he still acts like a child and many of his closest friends call him an idiot. He lies about his exploits and is overall a nuisance to everyone around him, but his warm smile and his true gentle nature make others feel at ease around him even though he's so powerful.

[Erika]

A demon, more specifically a succubus. She's a reliable older sister, and a fun woman to be around, though she does take joy in arousing men she takes an interest in and is known to sleep around quite often.

She's a decent leader when the situation asks for it, but she was not born for the role nor does she have any interest in ruling others.

She had her sister make a party with Roy and Sam and is interested in Miwen as she believes he might -(Section reserved for the future)-, so she's happy to have him owe her one.

[Elizabeth]

The Demon Queen of Hell. She was the daughter of the previous king and possessed one of the strongest Gifts in the cycle. Both she and her father earned the right to ascend, but knowing the consequences, they refused. She took it a step further though, and killed the God responsible for her World when he proposed, leading to a World Punishment.

Elizabeth managed to unify her world under her banner, a feat that surpassed her father's. She's a good commander and strategist, knows how to lead in a war, and how to portray herself and show her authority as queen. Though she is quite prideful, she's also capable of realizing her position and seeks to act in a befitting manner.

She had the opportunity to join the Caravan but chose instead to stay and fight, it should also be noted that she's a Devil, the type of demon most acclimated to magic, and one of the strongest and most feared races of demons. Even amongst her kind, she's said to be a prodigy in magic. Having been taught by Priscilla, aside from the members of the Caravan and the Gods, she might've been the strongest mage in the Cycle.

She was once a contender for the most feared being in existence, and believed herself to be a monster... but she saw in Miwen a more dangerous beast than she could ever become.

After joining him on Priscilla's and the Merchant's request, she decides to see how Miwen will turn out as a ruler and offers him her support on his path to kingship.

[Priscilla]

She's a member of the Caravan, one of the oldest still living. She has accompanied the Merchant through a lot of adventures and conflicts, and has great... some... respect for him. They can always be seen together, and their relationship is extremely complex. He would boil it down to them being lovers, but she would most definitely not agree with that. Many believe they are married or at least a couple, even if they don't dare say it to her face.

She's a magic archer, a role no one can compete with her in. Even the Merchant agrees that she's a better mage than he is, and if they had the same amount of Divinity and Demonic power, it's possible that she would be the stronger one.

Her Gift is a mystery, only those of the Caravan know it, and even though she taught Elizabeth, the latter never got to see her Gift in practical matches.

Most of the time she seems uninterested in everyone and everything, but the Merchant is one of the few people that manages to bring out her emotions. Elizabeth is also capable of doing that since she cherishes her greatly due to their time together.

She joined the Caravan after -(Section reserved for the future)-, and believes in the Merchant's goals.

[First Daughter]

Her family strives for endlessness as it was the first and only command they ever received from their creator.

The First Daughter sought to create a place that would store everything that ever was or ever will be, namely, the Infinite Hotel. By guaranteeing that the Hotel is as big, if not bigger than creation, she believes it to be truly the definition of infinity, or endlessness, and as such, she's extremely proud of it.

If creation ever truly becomes endless, then, the Infinite Hotel should also be.

Unlike the other Endless she has chosen to stick to a single project and develop it to perfection, which made them nickname her the Hotel Girl.

Since the Infinite Hotel is a part of her, she also goes by its name, and it could be said that they are one and the same.

Creation itself, and almost everything inside it currently exists inside the Infinite Hotel, and yet, to meet the First Daughter is a daunting task, as this energetic girl only meets those who interest her.

[Angelica]

Born of the union between a dragon and an angel, her very existence was blasphemous to both races, which led to the exile and death of her parents.

All alone, it didn't take long for her to follow them into the afterlife. Even though both dragons and angels are known to live for a long time, her life was incredibly short.

Since she was always running away or being hunted, she didn't get many opportunities to strengthen herself, or to understand her powers. However, she doesn't mind these, as she only desires to live up to the wishes of her parents, who gave her love for as long as they could.

Before their deaths, they told her that she would most definitely find happiness and acceptance, words she took as a prophecy. After being exposed to Miwen's memories, she believes that she has finally found the one who can realize her wishes.

She's quiet and patient, but also sympathetic to others and a bit selfish in her desires. Due to the life she lived, she's used to fighting and killing, even though her nature is that of a good girl more than that of a cold killer.

[Cassandra]

Sharp-tongued and unapologetic, this girl's special ability is to find trouble wherever she goes. Always ready for a fight and unconcerned about what others think, she can often be misunderstood, as her lack of care for others is always interpreted as hate, which she doesn't actually have for most people.

There is only one person she truly hates, Lazo, the hero who took her sister away and ended her life. She feels betrayed, and will only be satisfied after cutting his head.

Even though she's often thought of as an unfeeling woman, she does have a lot of consideration for her sister and shows true love and respect for her, becoming uncharacteristically animated when The Heavenly White Vestment is mentioned.

She also views herself to be a small part of Lazo's myth since her sister was responsible for saving his life multiple times, while she was just a sword that was used to cut his enemies, something she never thought of as hard or particularly impressive.

It is not known if she can show this side to others after being betrayed by the only person she ever trusted, but after seeing Miwen's memories, she chooses to form a good relationship with him so that when the time comes, he's willing to use her to kill Lazo. To do that, she plans on offering him everything she can.

Perhaps her heart might heal while being by his side.

[Alex]

A long-time friend of Miwen and his family, he participated in raids together with Miwen's parents and became a top-ranker during that time.

Since he earned quite a bit in his years as a high-ranker/top-ranker adventurer, he didn't really need to work after retiring, but he still chose to become a private investigator.

He thought this would be the perfect job for him, as it provided some thrill and it was convenient that he could choose which cases he took.

His Gift being extremely useful for infiltration was the final nail that made him decide on this side career.

He set up his office in an abandoned area, because it was extremely cheap, and he was confident he could avoid the danger lurking there.

[Maya]

Miwen's brilliant older sister, and the person he dedicated himself to during his infancy and teenage years.

She knew of the importance of her parent's job, and from a young age, was incredibly responsible, trying her best to not give them any reasons to be worried.

This developed into a complex, as she lived her life trying not to cause trouble to anyone. This meant she would strive to become self-reliant in any field she found herself participating in.

Her obsessive effort paired with her natural shrewdness often led her to success and greatness, which made everyone think of her as a genius.

She has her parents as idols, and even though she is more than capable of seeing through others, she shows concern and pity for them, hoping and offering her help so that they may become better versions of themselves.

This combined with her determination to fight for her ideals and what she thinks is right often creates trouble, as many people see her as arrogant, and plan to take her a peg.

A situation like that never came to pass though, as she always had a certain guardian by her side who was ready and willing to do whatever was necessary to protect her.

Her love for her family is as great as her brilliance, but recently she developed feelings for a guy called Johnny, who she made her boyfriend.

[Lance]

He was born before the First Contact and had his Gift, [Hollow Destiny] ever since he was a kid.

With this ability, he got into fights with other kids without any worries, as he could turn any match into a one-on-one without powers. Thus, his violent nature blossomed all the way into adulthood, becoming a man who is feared by even those around him.

By living like this, the connections he made were almost all rotten, especially Alan, an older guy who incentivized his nature, and Erik, a less violent man, but as cruel in his cunningness.

He pulled Jess, the only person who could save him into the same hole, as she chose to follow him rather than impede him.

After a certain job, together with the members of the AOTG, he faces off against Miwen.

[Marcus]

Miwen's father. He comes from a generation of adventurers who are seen as trailblazers. It's thanks to their effort that the chaotic era of the First Contact came to pass, and the world could regain some of its normalcy.

Often hailed as heroes, most of the top rankers are composed of people from that generation. They have celebrity-level status and often get sponsors.

Even though he started about two years later than other adventurers due to the birth of Maya and Miwen, the man known as a gentle giant rose quickly to become one of the most high-leveled in the world thanks in no small part to his courage and determination.

His Gift also helped quite a lot, as it has 10 different effects, each of them said to be as strong as a Gift.

It's believed that only his wife knows every effect of his Gift, and she makes sure that he doesn't go around telling others more than what is strictly necessary.

Even though he is a top ranker, and is quite well known, due to his ability to take on a supportive role and his Gift not being as flashy, online commentators often put him behind others in rankings, something other top rankers always joke about, satirizing their ignorance.

His biggest regret is that he wasn't a present father to Maya and Miwen.

He believed that there would be no point in his kids growing up with him in a broken world filled with tragedy, so he took matters into his own hands, making sure no other families had to make the same choice.

[Maria]

Miwen's mother. She is a top ranker and is often placed as one of the strongest by other top rankers due to the versatility and power of her Gift, as well as being an extremely good fighter.

Since her husband acts before thinking, she does the latter part for him most of the time, and her ability to see through others is unparalleled. Once she sets her eye on someone, a devious smile shows on her face, which prompted others to nickname her a sly fox.

She's been with Marcus since before the First Contact, and they met when she defended him on a judicial case.

She liked his courage, sincerity, and humility, and did her best to help him. They complement each other quite well, as he is calm and trusting, while she is cunning and prone to getting emotional and starting a fight.

Both are good people, however, and their biggest regret is leaving their children alone.

Whenever possible, Maria and Marcus tried to give advice to Maya and Miwen, but what they could do, in the small time frames they had between dungeon raids, never felt sufficient for her, and as a woman who values justice, she sees this a big failure on her part.

[Lily]

An earnest and cheerful demi-human, she is a bit shy but is very considerate, which leads her to take action when she sees someone feeling bad.

She is a dog girl that has lived her life in a village that housed many different races, and thus, doesn't really have a tribe to call her own.

She has helped her family with their work ever since she was a little girl, and she actually enjoys it quite a lot.

Her knowledge of the techniques necessary for farming and working in the fields is based on practice, as before being summoned by Miwen, she didn't know how to read.

Being able to read was a small perk she got from receiving his memories, and she is keen to learn more to help him, develop great fields, and produce a lot of crops for the kingdom.

His memories also made her a bit more anxious around him than normal due to his tendency to eventually do naughty things with the girls he has around him.

[Agatha]

An alchemist who loves nothing more than to research.

She's not particularly interested in much else, to the point where she's willing to perform most tasks as long as she gets to collect materials.

She's able to make a variety of potions and has plenty of knowledge in herbology, as well as a few other fields, and her Gift helps with that quite a bit.

While her knowledge and research aren't on par with Earth's scientists, Miwen thinks she's a valuable addition to the Kingdom, especially considering how much she can help Lily in the fields.

Has a bad sleep schedule, which over the years has made her look slightly older than she truly is, still, it somehow seems to fit her quite well, and she remains quite beautiful, even though she couldn't care less about such things.

[Gabriella]

A nun... or rather, a saint.

Her Light Magic is absurdly strong, and she also has access to Holy Magic.

The knowledge she possesses in both types of magic is quite deep, and her talent is not behind at all, being able to use Light Magic offensively incredibly well, something that is usually hard to do, as this element is usually associated with protection and healing.

She believes strongly that the Gods ought to be worshipped, and attributes every event of her life to them. 

Difficult situations must be a trial, while good outcomes must be a blessing.

Her hate for demons is unparalleled, and she also dislikes monsters as well.

This makes her have a bad relationship with quite a few girls in the Kingdom, and Miwen strongly disapproves of her views and actions.

[Lana]

An unwilling participant in the Kingdom at first, her loyalty increases quite rapidly.

Due to reasons in her past, she values food a lot, and since Miwen provides that for free, she thinks the Kingdom is a great place.

She also likes the dishes Miwen prepares the best, but her personality doesn't allow her to tell him that.

Still, she often asks for rewards for doing jobs but does them to the best of her ability.

She believes in the importance of repaying others.

Her Gift allows her to enter shadows and provides her with a few shadow-related abilities, as well as magic.

It is incredibly hard to sense her when she is inside a shadow. Not even Mia or Ellie are capable of doing so.

[Mei]

An incredibly beautiful woman, but nonetheless, one filled with mystery.

She acts as a Maid for Miwen and performs her job splendidly well.

A little too much even.

It's almost as if her entire live revolves around this job, which makes Miwen worried about her.

Even her Gift seems to support this idea, as it is a system similar to [Gacha Kingdom Building]. By completing certain tasks, she earns points that can be used to strengthen the one she has recognized as her Master.

[Olivia]

When it comes to body alone, she and Beatrice are the most mature in the Kingdom, but she's slightly older than the witch.

She used to work as an accountant for a noble and likes to read as well as to do calculations.

When she was first summoned, there wasn't a strong need for such jobs, so she was often seen helping Lily, with whom she has formed a nice relationship.

She also likes Agatha and Bea.

[Skuld]

The Valkyries' older sister.

She is an honorable warrior through and throughout.

She loves to test herself in battle, and improve and refine her abilities. She's not very good at creating strategies that involve commanding others, but she's smart and a respectable leader.

She was taken prisoner by the monster horde together with her sisters. There were more of them, but their Divinity wasn't as strong and faded with time, which made them unable to appear during the Horde Invasion.

Thankfully, the same was true for the monsters. Many of them had already faded, and the ones who appeared barely had any.

That horde was defeated by a powerful attack that also killed Skuld and her sisters.

During the Monster Horde Invasion of the Kingdom, Miwen saved her and her sisters, and they all agreed to serve him together, inspired by the bravery and prowess they saw when just a few people fought and defeated the horde that was by all means so much stronger than them and had caused so much problems in her homeworld.

All the Valkyries are quite trustworthy, but Skuld is especially not the type to betray or backstab others. She is one of the most dutiful girls in the Kingdom. She'l also surprisingly kind and sensitive to others and likes Angelica quite a lot as she reminds her of Eir and Liefdis due to the fact her two sisters don't feel too comfortable talking to others.

Her sisters usually count of her for speaking on their behalf.

[Eir]

During their stay in their homeworld, the Valkyries used to live in a secluded home in the clouds.

They rarely interacted with others, only leaving to the surface to find partners for sparring or mating.

Eir was never interested in the latter, and she liked sparring with her sisters, so she never found any reason to leave their home.

Because of that, her social skills aren't very good, and she usually has a hard time communicating with others who aren't her sister.

She's kind, gentle, and even a little overly polite. One of the few things she'll express no matter what is her gratitude.

Among the Valkyries, she is probably the quietest, but she also has a big heart.

She is a barrier master.

[Liefdis]

She used to be quite energetic, but she toned down ever since she started living in the Kingdom since she wasn't surrounded by other Valkyries anymore.

She's still quite sensitive, and among her sisters, she's the most carefree.

She's also more interested in love than the others, but she's still too ashamed to talk about that, especially with a man.

She really loves the Kingdom, andshe, as well as her sisters respect Miwen a lot, both as a warrior and as a king.

[Catherine]

The goddess responsible for blessing Miwen's world.

She became a notorious figure in her world, basically reigning over it as a vampire capable of challenging the God responsible for that world.

After a deal with him, she accepted becoming a God and leaving that world.

No one knows she had a way to save her Demonic Power elsewhere, although some Gods keep an eye on her due to her race.

She thought Earth had the makings for a good planet, but she was disappointed with it.

She'll do anything to survive.

[Lapis]

A very old goddess in the form of an energetic young girl... Or at least that's what she wants others to believe.

The truth is that she's a sadistic woman who loves to humiliate others, and see death, pain, and suffering whenever possible.

She's surprisingly friendly with Catherine, but the latter only plays along with her for fear of the consequences of shutting her down.

She is responsible for many different worlds and loves to organize some... "Unofficial Divine Events".

As an old goddess, she is incredibly powerful, however, she was born a Goddess, so she doesn't seem to respect inferior life forms. Their only value for her is as entertainment.

[Isabella]

A character from a game Claire plays... or maybe not?

She lived her life as a bastard child, having no place in her family and being bullied by those around her.

Throughout her life, she was neglected by everyone. Somehow, even fate or creation seems to have given up on her.

Everything that can go wrong, will go wrong.

Until meeting Miwen she was a useless girl, destined for failure. Known for always causing trouble and lashing out.

Her only good ability is her innate relationship with curses. She is someone who brings calamities.

Still, she refuses to give up. She'll persist until the end, no matter how many times her heart is scarred.

[Lennard]

A love target in a dating game... or maybe not?

Isabella's oldest brother is a dutiful man, and generally kind.

He regrets his own lack of agency when it came to her situation, especially since as time went on it became harder for him to defend her.

He chose to reprimand her thinking it would keep her away from trouble long enough for him to gain the authority necessary to change the way she lived, but alas, to her, it only alienated her further.

He doesn't express his feelings often and relies on his father's advice when dealing with tough situations.

When it comes to combat he's pretty good. He is considered a notorious warrior due to his age, and there are hopes he'll become one of Evretis and Terith's strongest knights.

[Albert]

Compared to his older brother, he's much more cold and distant.

But he dislikes injustice and always felt sorry for Isabella's circumstances.

However, he was never there to help her, and because he understood his own position from a young age, he thought it wouldn't do any of them any good to interfere.

As time went on and Isabella started to lash out more often, he became worried about her and started reprimanding her more and more.

Even though he doesn't demonstrate it too much, he loves his family and is thankful to his mother and father for bringing him up.

[Pamela]

Duke Albris von Evretis' wife as well as a mother to Lennard and Albert.

She is not Isabella's mother, a distinction that everyone in their house knows very well.

She failed to prevent Isabella from becoming a stain in her family's reputation, but she was never strong enough to face the girl.

Isabella was always a constant reminder of her failing as a woman, something that hurt her too much.

She decided to ignore the girl, and while she did not mistreat Isabella, this different treatment compared to the other children incentivized the servants, some even believing they could gain favor with Pamela by abusing Isabella.

However, that was not the case. More than anything, Pamela valued the image of her family, so although she would reprimand Isabella harshly, she disliked anyone who'd dare dishonor her family's image.

[Duke Albris Von Evretis]

The head of the Evretis family. He is respected throughout the continent as he was a wise king during Evretis' independent era.

After agreeing to become a duke under Terith's royal family, with whom he shares blood ties, he focused his efforts on developing the land.

It is believed that this decision came as a response to Hamperlon's aggressive conquests and the fact that at the time, Evretis was the weakest country neighboring that nation.

It was very kind of him to accept Isabella into his family considering she was a bastard born of a woman other than his wife.

However, he never showed more consideration to her than that, some believe that this was because he felt ashamed of it, and that Isabella represented a stain on his reputation.

Still, while he started to reprimand and punish Isabella harshly, he was always careful to not act unfairly.
