It was a very old library. The library was layered with all sort of books, on different topics. There were many racks and shelves all around full of books.
A young lady, who must have been about twenty, was standing gazing in admiration staring at all the books. She had green 💚 cat-like eyes and golden brown hair tied back in a ponytail. She had fair skin, and full pink coloured lips. She went to the librarian who was sitting on a dusty old chair in one corner of the room.
"Can I ask you something, miss?", she asked.
"Sure, darling", said the librarian.
"Actually my friend is in er...some sort of trouble. There is a man who she feels attracted to , and sometimes she even wants to kiss 😘 without him noticing. Can you tell what problem is she facing and how can she get rid of it?", she asked.
The librarian looked at her , bewildered, as if she belonged to some other world. She stared at her thinking how could someone ask such a question.
"Well?", she demanded.
"Your friend is in love, my darling. She clearly likes the person who she is feeling attracted to. She should probably ask him out on a date or something", said the librarian.
"That won't be necessary considering they are already married", she said, sourly.
"Already married ", repeated the librarian, appalled.
What sort of stupid questions was this woman asking?
"Could you please suggest me some books on love, something which can give the basic picture of what love is", she requested.
"Er..yeah, follow me", she said, getting up.
However, before she could come out, another person arrived at the table.
He was extremely elegant and attractive , with a young serious face, hazel eyes, dark brown hair and a long thin face. He was much taller than Athena and his towering presence made the librarian turn towards him instead.
"Yes, how many I help you?", she said in a sing song voice.
"Actually , you were going to give me my book first, so just finish with it, and then you can turn to him", said Athena.
"I am in a hurry, actually. So, it would be er.. good if you help me first", said the man.
"You are not the only busy person in the world, mister. I came here first so I should be attended to first, too", she said, furiously.
"Unlike you, I don't have much leisure time, miss. What work do you have after going outside... going to a parlour I suppose", said the man, sneering.
"I have much better things to do, mister and I really don't appreciate people poking into other people's buisness. So, mind your own buisness", said Athena.
"I am actually getting late for office🏣 , so I really need the book in a minute", said he.
"What a coincidence.....but I am also getting late, so I also need the book quickly", said Athena.
"Now, we really can't afford to waste much time... mister , you can come with me while I provide the books to this lovely miss", said the librarian, and she came out.
"Actually, my friend has been facing a stupid problem. He is feeling attracted to a girl and he sometime feels that he wants to stay with her forever . I need some books on this topic" said he, as the librarian led the way.
She suddenly stopped and looked back at the man. Then, she looked back at the lady and smiled.
"Looks like both your friends are feeling lovesick at the moment. Anyways", she said , and took out four novels from the uppermost shelf. She registered their names and handed them the books, reminding them to return the books in a week.
Both Athena and the man looked at each other, and then stepped out of the library thoroughly confused 🤔.
