Chapter 2 - Just do it already

"They are looking",said Lucy.

"So what?",said Adrian," I am not kissing you even in your dreams".

"Actually, I don't see you in my dreams",said Lucy, haughtily. "And I have no whatsoever interest in kissing you".

" Just keep your distance ", he said.

" What are you doing, brother? I always thought that you were grumpy but at least smile today. It's your wedding ", piped a young girl who was standing next to him.

"I can do it if you don't want to . Those lips look tasty", whispered a young man, next to Adrian.

" Just do it already", said a girl who was standing next to Lucy .

Lucy was looking at her friends, hoping to get some help from them. But they all were just looking hopefully waiting for the kiss.

" Ugh... fine", said Lucy. She pulled Adrian towards herself and smashed her lips in his thin pink ones. All the guests looked shocked; they had obviously thought that the groom would make the first move.

" So shameless", muttered the groom,s best friend.

She broke the kiss. Adrian was looking as if he had just touched an exposed electric wire with bare hands. He moved back a little, as if afraid that Lucy would kiss him again.

" You told me that you did not want to kiss me", said Adrian, still shocked.

"Well, one of us had to do it. So, I just did it", said Lucy, "And I would sincerely advise you to to eat mint candy or something before kissing anyone because... your mouth stinks."

All the people who were standing around the newly married couple burst out laughing.

" I wasn't even expecting that, for your information ", said Adrian, defending himself.

"Leave it, you both", said the groom's sister, " And don't mind Adrian much. He has always been.... well, anti romantic".

" Time to cut the wedding cake", announced the groom's mother.

Suddenly, the bride 's phone rang. Her expression changed immediately. She became very serious.

" Uh.. I need to go to bathroom.. important call..I will be right back", said Lucy, and went away.

" She sounds like you, brother",said the groom's sister, staring unbelievingly after Lucy, "Only someone as workaholic as you can go to attend a work call on their wedding. You are both going to get along well".
